D'aww... Mewtwo looks like a soft, lovable...kangaroo-cat-thing(?) with Insomnia. Well, I mean, he would have Insomnia, but he's not Mega Evolved, so maybe it's just sleep deprivation:p. Seriously, though, great job! I love the way you draw Mewtwo! And I'm really sorry you have trigeminal neuralgia. You're always welcome here, and it's fun to talk with you and look at your art. :)
Holy moley, that is so adorable! You're a fantastic artist!
Ha ha, I wish I drew this! It is adorable! But... I didn't draw this. :3 It's just inspired me to get back into drawing.I should have made that more clear but was really tired when I shared it. It's by Denimecho on deviantart. Sorry for any confusion.

I did draw my current avatar though!

I'm sorry. :urg:

That's rough.
I imagine that's really rough to live with. :(
:162:
It can be. I've been to hospital with it twice last year and recently had a really severe attack. I get it through the upper left side of my head. It's been in and out of hospital a lot for me over last year because not only did I recently find out I have TN, I also have a vascular malformation on the back of my brain. I take Carbamazepine and it's having this bizzare side effect where any music I listen to is a semitone lower than what it actually is. I hope it goes away. Thanks for your thoughts. :)

I know it's mad late for most of us, but I have to add these Mewtwo combos I've been working on. @!Blue!, you should try some of these. I'll attempt to use them at KTAR if I can attend.

jab > dtilt > fair > fair > aerial confusion > shadowball finisher (works best between 25-50% as a KO chain, but doesn't always work)
jab > dtilt > dair meteor > tech chase dash attack OR can be used offstage for very early KOs, and backed up by stage spike bair
fair > nair > opposite direction fair > bait into upsmash (a mix-up, but a very reliable one at low percents)
dair meteor onto stage > falling nair > dtilt > rinse and repeat until KBG, DI, or teching moves the target too far away

That looks 10x as good when you can see all the details up close like that! I still think you're an amazing artist.

As far as your condition goes, is it too risky to have vascular surgery? Would it even help?

My mother has a herniated disk in her neck which causes her pain every day. It's not inoperable, but they'd have to cut open her neck and operate on her spine from the front, and there's a lot that could go wrong... so she's gone without for years. My father found a top specialist this year, though, and he's encouraging her to get the operation.

Whatever your fate holds, I hope you are able to get to a place in life where physical pain is not constantly on your mind. It burdens me to see people suffer.

I have some cavities. Quite a few. I got real depressed when I became homeless, and since I lost access to clean water in a private place, I kinda stopped taking care of my teeth for a while. I used to have near perfect teeth. Now I can't eat hard foods on the left side, because it hurts too much. So... while my problem is my own stupid fault, and it's not as bad as yours, I understand what it's like to live with pain, now. So... I hope you get better.

So I've been debating whether or not to get Premium on here. Is it worth it?

Well, I won free premium for a month after winning Survivor on here...then gave it away to a random member because I saw so little value in it.

There's my answer lol. It's really just a blue name to me. I don't get it.

I bought it last year for two reasons: it disables ads, and it supports the server costs.

The blue tag, the bigger avatar (I never went for a large one - my current one is the same one I've had for a long time), the custom title (which I did use), and the transparent background image in your posts are all things that may or may not matter to you.

Thank you! :)

I'm not sure just yet. I have to see how the medication I am on goes. I've heard positive things about surgery however it's only a temporary fix and it usually comes back as TN cannot be cured. I hope your mother is able to find relief.

At first I thought I might have a herniated disc, so my doctor did an xray of my neck, but it came back fine. So that ruled out something being wrong with my neck. As for my spine, I don't know for sure. but all my symptoms are TN related and the medication did something when I first took it because the pain eased.

I live in pain pretty much everyday, it's just a matter of how bad it gets. I'm used to it though. You learn to live with it.

I'm sorry to hear that you are homeless. That sounds dreadful. Are you managing alright?

My jaw tends to grind and click, so at first I thought my symptoms might be TMJ related, but it's not. I have been to a jaw specialist about it, and he referred me to a physio. I've been pretty much through everything with this. Just glad to finally have an answer.

I hope you are also able to have your cavities sorted. Growing up I had a lot of teeth problems so I know how it feels.

I got it solely to have Mewtwo appear behind my posts lmao.

I'm not starving. I'm alone a lot, and I'm cold every night. I don't have anywhere to put clothes away nicely, so everything is in trash bags and such. I live out of my car but I have no money for gas, so I try not to drive for no reason.

I have no insurance and no job. Those are the main things that I want to change to improve my life.

My family already spent $1000 on filling cavities for me this year. I probably still have another $1000 of work to be done if I went to a dentist. I'm considering going to "dentist school" to get work done for cheap, but it costs at least $100 a pop, which I don't have.

Everyone has their struggles.

Speaking of diseases and stuff, I have this.

Well, I mean, I USED to have it at a young age. It's super rare.
Bacterial bone infection? You're right, I've never heard of that. How does that even happen? Well, I'm glad you're healed, anyway.

I mostly just have one to get rid of advertisements which makes SWF un-useable on my laptop. Larger avatars I also find to be a nice offer.

Disco Room is okay, but you're not missing much if you're already involved in another social thread or group on the board. It has it's moments, but it's mostly spam posts and as such is harder to have a general discussion. Is also really hectic so most threads/posts are buried within a few hours.

Homelessness is one of my future fears, I truly feel for you, but raises some curiosity out of me. How do you obtain steady food? Do you use cafes for internet? Also, how do you play Smash Bros then?

Yeah, I don't care about Disco Room.

You could also get adblock. I'm pretty sure every (good) browser has one now. However, there's still a big red banner that comes down telling you to turn it off.

Damn, that is very rough. I hope everything works out for you and that you eventually rise out of this situation enough to live a good life. Really puts my problems into perspective.

I don't know much about homelessness, but I've read articles on it and the like.

Seems a lot of homeless people end up in that position partially because of bad luck - and I hear that once you get homeless, it's extremely difficult to pull yourself out of that situation. Having no place to clean yourself up apparently makes it very difficult to find a job, and you can't exactly tell them you're homeless or they might think that you only ended up that way because of laziness or whatever. Homeless shelters are also apparently very crowded and inadequately funded in a lot of places. I also hear the boredom is the real killer, and that it's very difficult for the homeless to make friends.

Luckily, I think I'm not at much risk of becoming homeless. My parents - particularly my mom - would aid me if it ever looked like I was going to end up without a job or a home. But everyone's situation is different, and I don't believe every homeless person actually deserves to be homeless.

I'm salty af.

I feel pretty lonely lately. I guess nobody really likes me anymore.
Why do you think that?

Gee, thanks, man. :)

I guess it's kind of me, sometimes I feel like I only have one positive trait and the rest are negatives and I think that some people think that I'm that way too.

It's a long story but I'm feeling kinda depressed so yeah.

But you guys are really nice though.

Oh man, it's been way to long since I last played Pokemon competitively. I used to be really good at it, you know.

My younger sister actually gets like that a lot. Sometimes she just gets really depressed, than she starts verbally attacking herself. She'll call herself worthless, annoying, and stupid, and telling her otherwise doesn't make her feel any better...and it happens at least once every few months.

I hope whatever is troubling you gets better. Depression is never a fun thing to deal with.

I'm decent. I can get up to the high 1300s in most tiers sometimes higher. I prefer Smash though so I don't devote alot of time into it.

Man, I used to be really into competitive Pokemon... I placed in the top 25th percentile in the Enter the Dragon tournament back in early 2015, the test run for the current VGC ruleset. Reshiram and Mega Diancie owned that meta. I think it's too late to hop back in for this year's run, but if worlds are still in East Coast America (which I think is for international access purposes), I might try to attend.
But now I'm into Smash because it consumes less time in my busy schedule. Can't wait until everything lightens up heading into March.

I'd take you on, but my 3DS is pretty messed up at this point. Thanks to my broken circle pad, I can only pull off smash attacks around half the time. :/

I could never get into Pokemon's competitive wifi for too long. Breeding was such a pain. Now, Pokemon Online and Showdown, on the other hand...

I actually peaked at 105th place on Smogon's OU ladder back in the days of Pokemon Online, using an unconventional team that included a defensive Gyarados and a Zoroark. I'm still really proud of that feat - I was probably the highest person on the ladder to be using a Zoroark. It had no weather starters either, which was super rare back in gen 5. I had no form of hazard control either. A few conformist thought I was crazy for making that team, but it got results, and that's what mattered.

My R button is broken on the 3DS but a circle pad broken is even worse. I had to change my button inputs and I've gotten use to it.

I feel like I'm one of the only people that plays both the 3DS version and the Wii U version. I feel that most people play one or the other (usually playing 3DS if they don't have a Wii U and playing Wii U if they have both). I have all of the character and stage DLC for both versions, and I have both completed in terms of trophies and challenges. I like the Wii U version for the obviously "better" version, HD graphics, music, and couch multiplayer, but I also like the 3DS version too for the quicker access and portability. It also helps that I have a New 3DS as well and that I use the Pro Controller for the Wii U version, making the switch between the two easy.

I played the 3DS version of Smash all the time. Why else would my circle pad be broken?
It's a great way to squeeze in a little practice on the go.

I play both versions and have all the DLC for both. I like to get the most I can out of both versions even if I can freely admit that the Wii U version is the better version by virtue of more features (overall), better graphics, better stages, My Music, and so on. I still play Smash on 3DS for the same reasons you said.

One minor detail that I still appreciate on the 3DS that I wish was in the Wii U version is the retaining of chosen alt costumes for characters on the roster. having it as an option at least would be nice.

I can kind of see why that's not a thing for the Wii U version. Don't forget that multiple people could be choosing characters on the same screen for Wii U and might switch controllers or places too. In the 3DS version, everyone controls their own screen, so it makes sense for that to be a more individual thing.

The thing I don't like about the 3DS version though is how they stuck all the DLC fighters on another page. Considering that my main is a DLC fighter, it's annoying. They likely did it because of screen real estate and resolution, but it's still a pain. I could say the same for the DLC stages in both versions.

I think being able to move characters around would be pretty cool. I wouldn't do much except put clones and DLC characters with their series.

Wow, I never even thought of that idea, yet it makes perfect sense. That should totally be a thing.

I understand it doesn't keep the alternate colors on the Wii U because of more people, but maybe they could have saved it for names you saved. Either way, it's not a big issue for me as I usually go default.

I think I posted in the Disco Room 3 times at most in an entire year. It's pointless, I agree. And yeah, before I upgraded to a New3DS, Smashboards wouldn't load because of ads, so Premium was attractive.

I tend to play the 3DS version more than the Wii U version personally. Gave me a lot of trouble at the last tournament I went to as I had to adjust to a GC controller.

People would probably like the BR if the DR isn't their style. It's rather funny just how many social threads/boards/groups there are on this forum.

I turn off pretty much anything I deem unnecessary such as most types of alerts. Sigs can also slow down my computer and I don't feel like scrolling through an extra half page of meh gifs.
