Still pretty bummed the Dragon Quest Heroes 1+2 collection for Switch didn't come westward. That game was a launch title. Would've been a nice game to have alongside Zelda and Bomberman... and 1, 2, Switch...

About the design they could go with for Erdrick, since I see a lot of discussion between the Chibi NES style vs the SNES/GB style vs the Modern (Brown Hair) design, I think we should also keep in mind the possibility of a future remake design, since apparently there is already a DQ3 in Unreal Engine out in SE's vault.

There isn't a whole secret DQIII remake that they're just sitting on or anything. The DQXI dev team just played around with some environments from DQIII to get the hang of the engine.

I'm skeptical of that Gamestop listing for DQH1+2. It's happened before at least once, and nothing came of it.

DQ3 deserves a remake. But if that takes too many resources than i'd settle for just a remaster/port at least.
I like new games, so really if they can make dq12 that's good with me.

You wanted a fake leak? Okay. Here you go.

I was fortunate to get in touch with a few acquaintances in Japan and North America who are knowledgeable on the development of Smash Bros.' post-launch content. It's so wild that you probably won't believe me and you'll probably write this off as fake. Here are the remaining characters (in no particular order):

Erdrick (Dragon Quest III)
2B (Nier: Automata)
Banjo-Kazooie (Banjo Kazooie)
Dante (Devil May Cry)

Personal Thoughts:
- Erdrick is pretty much the worst kept secret right now.
- 2B shocked me, when did Nier or Drakengard ever get on Nintendo consoles? Her inclusion is so weird. This makes Cloud and Joker's inclusion look like obvious picks lol. Though one of my acquaintances said that Sakurai is friends with Yoko Taro like he is with Kojima. That's probably why she got in. She'll probably will create the biggest "WTF" reaction when the character reveal occurs. Heard she is broken like Smash4 Bayo (at least before balancing).
- Banjo-Kazooie is the XBOX rep. The discussion between Nintendo and Microsoft also included a XBOX character to be added. B-K was selected due to Rare's initial background with Nintendo and for being a long-time requested character by fans in Smash.
- Kamiya, Itsuno, and several Capcom higher-ups strongly pushed Nintendo and Sakurai for Dante to join the game. He is the DMC4 variant. Not to mention the series is back after a long time. Heard something about a game or two coming to Switch but not 100% sure. Like 2B, he is also broken pre-balancing. Man, what's with action game characters who join Smash that ends up resulting in them breaking the game?

Whatdya think? I give myself a 5/10. Maybe I should omit the personal thoughts and shorten some stuff to make it look like the usual 4Chan leak.

A friend of a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend works at NIntendo and confirmed that the last 4 DLC newcomers are Dark Link, Byleth, L-block, and Sakurai himself.

you'll know I'm telling the truth when they're all announced this Friday. If they don't get announced, then trust me anyways because maybe Nintendo changed plans or something, I dunno.

I don't think it influences Erdricks changes too much. The leakers Persona connection is clearly strong, but has their DQ connection been showcased yet? For all we know that can be the weak link.

Well I'm glad you're discerning enough to not lump in claims together (which has been surprisingly rare), though at the very least i think it brings quite a bit more credibility to the leaker. As in at least someone can't say they entirely made up their info. (like entirely baseless fake leakers)

I'm actually kind of curious about the granblue fighting game too :O

Eh.... I'm iffy on that. It's possible that he might be wrong when we look at it individually, but that's where I tie this to the big picture and note how Vergeben and Tansut would have to be wrong too. It's technically not impossible but it's another gold coin for the pile for now. Nothing's "confirmed" yet.

What I really want to know is how close is Polar to discovering the Smash newcomer. Has Polar actually ever revealed newcomers before?

Probably. There's still a certain degree of extra connections there, especially depending on where they're working. But anyway, we still dont know which is their stronger connection. ;p Either way is possible.

I wouldn't expec the intel to go quite that far. but who knows.. I dont look on twitter a lot, so if someone sees something interesting it'll probably be someone like you or whoever checks.

That's some good speculation, yeah. The Granblue guess was the only real precise info that was confirmed. I want to say the post was made with the intent to just give us info instead of trying to prove itself, which explains why this person didn't go all out with the information for anything outside of Smash. An anonymous poster has little motivation to try and prove their credibility because the real goal is to just get info out.

But yeah, there are more unanswered questions than answered. I just want to hear more from Polar's side since she's the one who confirmed the P5U delay.

However, if they had said "Each Party member gets a new scenario", would that have been something to be skeptical about?
