instead of reporting us, you should spend that time updating the thread, you are a month and a half behind, and i know that new results would get us back to actually talking about the appropriate topic.

half sonic is fine, i usually go a litttle more than half sonic in my tourneys.

There are some tournaments, but I'm not sure if they get counted unless there is a specific forum thread for it.

My TO has a website to let other Vegans know of his tournament, but he doesn't bother to keep up with the results, like who wins and with what character.

So basically I am still not going to have any proof of my skill until sometime by May at this point, and even then the tournament in plan is on AiB, not SWF.

I could, and I was actually thinking of that myself, but what am I going to do, ask permission from my TO to keep a data log of the tournament results on either SWF or the TO's site... more specifically the ones I attend to myself?

Summer is always a time of major activity, if you can't find tournaments then you need to find another game to play... perhaps Melee.

Kinzer, just ask your TO if you can look at teh brackets (if the are on a cpu) or even have the brackets (if they are written down on paper) after the tourney. and than just go from there.

580 go back through the thread and put any results you come across in the proper format.

yeah man i got alot better against marth after fighting dan for so long. another thing u wanna do is outlive marth....and bait alot of f-smashes. the move is highly punishable. up tilt is his safest kill move and u can survive that until about 150 or so. dan/any marth i play always tells me that i dont die. its because his kill options really revolve around u either messing up ur spacing....attacking his shield blindly or well timed f-smashes. and this may sound...super....super....super weird cause every marth will telll u that BF is their best neutral but take them ALL to battlefield. its his best neutral if he can control the bottom platform....but with the up throw u can put him on the platforms ALOT and put him at his weakest point (below him) alot more frequently. also....dancing blade 101...if he goes for the last hit with 10000 little pokes SDI into him as hard as you can. you will end up behind him b4 the move finishes....thus ensuring the f-smash since the move takes 4ever. also do not roll behind dancing blade. u will take an up-b. also if u r shielding dancing blade and u SUSPECT the downwards one is coming....grab. the downwards dancing blade is able to be grabbed inbetween the 3rd and 4th hit. the upward one as well...the regular one is not. other sonic players will tell u its all about tilts and w/e....but marth is a characters BASED ON SPACING and TRAPS....sonic really loves to **** ppls spacing and up-p out of dtilt traps or walls that he cant find a sensible way around. so really running is the best offense.

ive got great help. dont use the down throw. it doesnt put marth at any disadvantadge. hes weak below him so force him in the air with the up throw...or bait a fair with the f-throw. as for getting past fairs....just run around....show him that u have no intention of running into the brick wall and hes going to have to mix it up. or....u can do what i do....and jus charge the down-b to hit right inbetween the fair brickwall lol. also up air oos works really well against marths fair wall. and fthrow into TIP f-smash isnt legit. u were DI'ing away from marth thus u got hit with it. If u held towards him u would have taken a normal f-smash for a mere 10% or so. I kno that marth can up-b out of it so mayb sonic can do the same....not sure on that tho.

but yeah....bottomline is dan is really really good in that matchup and at this game in general. another thing is once u get @ higher %s....he will begin baiting u by fairing into ur shield so u attempt to shield grab. at this point u should begin holding ur shield rather than attempting to grab. dan and marth players in general use this tactic and then immediately up-b since u cant grab invincible things...mad gay

i got gayed in the worst way imaginable,

1st round, diddy player, really bad against space animals. i play fox, my z grabs and banana shines and down air punishments are completely on point, i think i 2 stock him on BF (banned FD obviously)
2nd round smashville, i play wolf, i dont know why, he wins, its pretty close but nothing cool happens
3rd round, i pick norfair, to discourage banana use, hes bad in general against spacies, so i go fox again, i decide to camp him out, were both at 1 stock, im at 60 something damage and hes at 80 something, im on the top right platform, he tries to jump up and hit me, i jump over him (im like spring distance above him) he up airs, i jump again...


AND I DIE.

FROM HIM BLOWING UP MY SECOND JUMP.

WITHOUT EVEN HITTING ME.

BULLCRAP.

rest of the story is boring. i get beat by a DK cause i never played the character before, and i was too dumb to

one thing i did learn tho.

1st - DJBrowny (Sonic/Lucario/Snake)

I don't know if I should john about my tournament, but I might as well, and THEN get backlash, rather than keep it to myself. I didn't get an ounce of sleep before my tournament (I woke up at 7:50AM Friday, didn't go to sleep until 10:45PM Saturday night), and I didn't eat since Friday afternoon (my only meal was at 8:00 PM after I left the tournament).

Johntastic, but whatever. (Sucks too, since I promised I'd sleep and eat right prior to the tournament. **** you Left 4 Dead for being too fun, and **** my cafeteria for not being open at 7AM on the weekends ;_; )

The host and several buddies of mine even said I fell asleep for ten minutes during the tournament while watching Hylian and Sethlon go at it in a friendlies, in front of the television right next to Hylian. Too good on my end.

With that said, my own personal predictions of my placement were completely accurate. I got 4th out of 28 Entrants.

So yeah, expect videos of both Sethlon (Falco) and PhantomX (Wario) 2-0ing me in tournament. Although to be fair, it went down to the last stock on all the matches except 1 I think. (Which is a shame too, since me and Phantom X went pretty much DEAD even in our 3-Liter Soda Match.

Forgot to mention, I did play Hylian's Diddy Kong several times in friendlies (I think he was saying he was picking up Diddy, but I'm not sure). Anyways, we went pretty even on the matches. I wish they were recorded. They were so full of awesome.

While Diddy is recovering, jump near the ledge of Final Destination, Banana drop, then spring drop, to quick edge grab.

Too...****ing...good.

Oh, and a lulzy match of me beating K Prime's Pikachu on Smashville by running the clock out by running away. XD

I'll get sleep, eat well, and do better during Final Smash 5, I swear it.

Im only the best in my state. I havent had many chances at all to play against other states best players but for the few i have, i can generally go pretty even with them. Also just coz i feel like bragging, at this lan party smashfest i took 1st place in brawl 1vs1, 2vs2, 4 player FFa and custom settings (fast speed, heavy gravity, 1.2x damage, mid / low tier only) tournaments Although i did use snake for the teams and FFA and ness for the custom settings tourney

Also fun to quote my TO (to the admin of the lan party)
"Sonic is like bottom on the tier list, until you fight this guy"

the pika player that always punks out to MK when he plays me i think is going to a melee tourney that day, so it looks like the people i have to worry about are...
Xiivi: he beat me my last 3 tourneys in a row, and ive tried out all my new techs on him so right now he knows my playstyle better than anyone.
Jesiah: got some personal training (i.e. got his butt whooped) from M2K at C3 and he usually wins our tourneys anyways so hes got the best chance of winning
random MK player than none of you know: hes really good at being gay with MK, and I test out all my anti MK strats on him. so he knows my style too welll also.
Ike dude that nobody knows: to this day ive never even played a match with him, but he got 3rd place 3 times in a row, so i know hes good, but i played with kirks ike and xiivis ike, so i really hope i get to play him this time. im pretty sure i can take him.

True. Texas IS one of the most heaviest MK areas in the Nation. I think I remember somone saying Texas was dominated to about 50% by MK.

OoT = Out of Town. No one from outside of San Antonio came.
But hell, a San Antonian FINALLY won one of our own tournaments.

And as I've said, there were only about 10 people there, so it probably wouldn't count.
Then again, I've won several neighborly tournaments in SA as well (one I ran myself in June, and one I entered at my old High School for charity).

But as I've said, it probably shouldn't count.

Results were:
1. Puffball (Sonic) $50
2. MorningStar (Snake) $25
3. [I cant remember his name, he's a "no-name" in SA] (Meta Knight/Snake)

Despite the turnout, the matches were pretty good. I updated the Cinemas with videos recorded by a friend during the Winner's Finals and Grand Finals, both being Me vs. Morningstar. He's gotten alot better.

I also love listening to the stuff the people were talking about behind the match.
And I finally found someone who's as fond of Sonic as I am.
Although he kinda sucks at Brawl... >_>

Anyway, following up your teammate's moves is fine. There's a bunch of fun stuff you can do that need a ton of coordination though @__@;

Whether it's having your teammate do the false approach and you doing the real approach, or both of you splitting up to cover all defensive movements that your opponent can do if you both run at him.

There was one thing that I did with Terios in a wifi match though - one of us did a U-throw > spring > F-air, and the other went under and knocked him out of the F-air with U-air. epic epic kill.
