So much fun. That's because the first sonic Riders was amazing.
I didn't beat Sonic 3 until I was in middle school because of that barrel.
Dude, that's why I bought it again and got my roommate to replay it. It's gonna be great just being able to pick the daytime stages.I like the daytime stages in Sonic Unleashed, those were fun. Kind of wish I still had that game so I could just play the first stage.
Good times indeed.I do remember playing Sonic 3 like...years ago at your house @ Camalange good times
Git gud. That's because the first sonic Riders was amazing.

That's just how I do.I enjoyed Sonic Battle for GBA.
And Cam was gracious enough to give me his extra Sonic Advance. What a swell guy.
I have 2 (gen 2 and gen 3) genesis consoles that are in working order. Also a Nomad that's..... in working order, but the screen is internally damaged somehow, probably from overusage, where there's this big splotch of orange pixels over the screen.Git gud.

Anyone still got their megadrive/genesis that's in working order?
I honestly want a HD remake series of the GBA games.Waiting for that HD Remix.
Did you have to remind me of that? That's probably one of the most scaring moments of my childhood playing videogames. I almost gave up on that game because of that part.Carnival Night is fine EXCEPT for that one part that you have to hold up and down to move the stupid thing that the game never teaches you I got stuck there for SO LONG as a kid. Literally my only gameplay complaint.
You know...thank god I somehow forgot the controls that one day and thought up was jump.Did you have to remind me of that? That's probably one of the most scaring moments of my childhood playing videogames. I almost gave up on that game because of that part.
Carnival Night was the worst. When I played the game again a few years ago, I forgot how the barrel worked, and I time over'd trying to figure it out. In desperation, I started mashing buttons on my next life...then I pressed up.And ugh dude I thought I had to jump on it a certain way so I spent hours jumping and getting so close but then TAILS would like GLITCH THROUGH somehow and I'd get SO SAD AND MAD just like WHY CAN TAILS GET TO THE NEXT PART AND I'M STILL STUCK UP HERE and it was pretty emotional.
I played a lot of Jungle Strike as a kid; I was terrible at it, and all I did was fly around and randomly grab things without knowing what I was doing. I died a lot, haha.Anyone play any of the strike games? There was so many good megadrive games.
Jungle strike is probably the best one out of the three. Its so fun blowing up stuff even when youre not meant to. The first level is testament enough to that. RETURN TO BASE. What why? "Why did you blow up the CIA?" Cos I thought it was shooting at me...I played a lot of Jungle Strike as a kid; I was terrible at it, and all I did was fly around and randomly grab things without knowing what I was doing. I've been meaning to get back to the series now that I'm older, though.
Desert Strike fan here (and it was the only Strike game I had at the time when I 1st played it), I was pretty decent when I played it on the Genesis like 12 years ago, made it all the way to the 2nd-to-last-level and was on mission 8 (the 1 where you had to escort a bus filled with refugees, incluiding your own co-pilot who's the driver of said bus), sad part is that by the time I got to that mission I was on my last life and ran out of fuel trying to fight off a bunch of enemy copters and used up all the fuel drums I could find on the level, because of a bad habit of me grabbing them when I'm halfway on fuel (and the worst part of all is that I crashed onto the bus and epically died with a mission failure on top), haven't gotten to that level since then, only made it up to like the 2nd level a few times.Anyone play any of the strike games? There was so many good megadrive games.
This, so much this.Advance 1 is the Sonic 4. **** that actual official **** Sonic Team called "Sonic 4"!
I did. Was pretty easy. The AI is stupid.Has anybody ever collected all the super rare cards in sonic battle w/out using cheats? Felt like that game's endgame challenge was truly impossible (the one where you have to fight 3 other random characters, each round how many lives they have go up while you have one. Once you get to round 7/8, they get their 1HKO from you hitting them so much and things become hell as you try to avoid 3 peoples 1HKOs for 20+ lives lmao)
Some levels in the games were really challenging too, geez they do need to remake that gamegame.
Was lots of fun though, first sonic game to make me tear up as a kid, and is the reason why I love shadow-his animations in that game are amazing!
Ah, you see I was always very thrifty in that game. My fuel gauge would make that horrible sound (~16%?) and I'd just be like nah I'm fine I'll just finish this objective. I used to die a lot from that lol. Especially in those levels you forgot that it doesn't tell you where the fuel is and there's just those ?s all over the map and it just breaks your heart.
Playing super hang on on my ds ATM. **** that game has some awesome music. Well like all 4 tracks hah. All I've done is listen to retro music for days now. Best. Week. Ever..
vids or it didn't happenI did. Was pretty easy. The AI is stupid.
I'D FORGOTTEN ABOUT BALLZ 3D (Well, no; I wish I'd forgotten about Ballz 3D). The intro music has been stuck in my head since I first played the game as a kid, and it hasn't left.Jungle strike is probably the best one out of the three. Its so fun blowing up stuff even when youre not meant to. The first level is testament enough to that. RETURN TO BASE. What why? "Why did you blow up the CIA?" Cos I thought it was shooting at me...
I'm restricted to compilations of genesis games now, my megadrive still works but the sound went on it not too long ago. Not sure I could face playing something like sonic without any music, or any game from that era really. Except maybe BALLZ 3D. That soundtrack has given me a 20 year headache.
Yea, the moment that sound hits, gotta find fuel fast (oh god ran out of fuel on last life), still nothing beats my epic fail of running out of fuel on my final life and crashing onto the bus I'm supposed to escort to safety (if only I recorded that moment).Ah, you see I was always very thrifty in that game. My fuel gauge would make that horrible sound (~16%?) and I'd just be like nah I'm fine I'll just finish this objective. I used to die a lot from that lol. Also does anyone know any good early sonic music remixes? Most I've heard are...meh.
Yeah, I totally agree. I never really about it, but yeah, Sonic Advance is totally the Sonic 4... Sonic 4 just seemed like such a disgrace to the original namesake. They even had audacity to break it into episodes.I honestly want a HD remake series of the GBA games.
Advance is probably my favourite Sonic series too date if im truly honest, im sad its almost never brought up in terms of sonic game discussion. Advance 1 is the Sonic 4. **** that actual official **** Sonic Team called "Sonic 4"!

I'm so glad that this was a universally shared curse.Carnival Night was the worst. When I played the game again a few years ago, I forgot how the barrel worked, and I time over'd trying to figure it out. In desperation, I started mashing buttons on my next life...then I pressed up.
"Wait...I JUST HAD TO PRESS UP AND DOWN?! MOTHER--"
I was mad.
