Attributes don't determine anything and they do come from player skills as it is an analysis of that character. I believe that Sonic can be high tier and I won't believe otherwise. Everyone no everything has limitations what matters is how we overcome them. I know that I can't debate about anything but the fact is that you try because giving up won't change anything.

Attributes are how the tier list is made. You can ask the guys who made it lol. This is not a point to be argued this is fact. The tier list does not account for individual skill, but how a characters attributes allow him to play better. Sure we can overcome these limitations...but I thought you said Sonic didn't have any flaws lol.
We do try lol. Everyone here has entered tourneys and placed well with Sonic, but in reality, a skillful player that uses MK is going to beat a skillful player using Sonic.

EMZ, you are wrong, a characters attributes determine how well he can be used. That is final. TECHNICALLY if you are good enuff u cud pwn the world with Sonic, but its easier to do with MK and anyone above Sonic on the tier list, because they are BETTER CHARACTERS WITH LESS FLAWS!!!! And even if Sonics flaws can be overcome (even the lag and no priority which is unchangable lol?) then the other characters would still be better as they have less flaws to overcome!!!

The majority of these people are Sonic fanboys. Huge fanboys like yourself. I can find a thread where alot of the people arguing against you or who have contributed to this board just threw away all of these and started sounding just like you.

Because they found out that Sonic was 5th from the bottom on the first official tier list.

They know how you see things. But try to see it from our side.

Objectively speaking, character-wise, Sonic is a bad character. It doesn't make a difference at all whether we win or lose, because we're familiar enough with our character/our opponent playstyles to put up a fight, if not win. And a bunch of us do win alot harder with Sonic than we could with any other character. But there are reasons why Sonic is viewed as low-tier instead of high-tier - and it's not the tournament wins nor the players, but the character abilities that determine this.

If that's not what you're arguing about, then just stop, because you're arguing about something that isn't related to tiers.

Edreese made some really good posts in that thread back when it was still alive. They were largely overlooked.

I know about all of that, but you can't base your claims tournament wise.

I know alot about Smash, my point is that sonic has much more potential than you give him.

My argument on Sonic being top tier is that he isn't slowed down by his flaws like other characters so he should be high tier.

Well you must not know Sonic that well if you think otherwise.

Most of Sonic's moves have lag but so do other characters, the thing is to not worry about it but how to use to your advantage.

Sonic's flaws add to his mind game tactics(that aren't used much).

If lag is your excuse then there is no argument.

Wow, characters like MK can do damage but so can Sonic because his speed is his power, although speed alone isn't enough though

Lag isn't the issue it's the issue of people accepting others thoughts on his use without even determining this fact for themselves. Tell me Mr. Debater have you even played as Sonic?

People say that his flaws on lag as well on regular gameplay makes him too vulnerable to other characters, its the same for other characters so why does it matter? Anyone could be best player in the world if they had just tried but no one has the mindset for it. In reality Sonic has no flaws its just that people assume that they can't win which leads to their downfall, its the people's fault not Sonic's.

My point is to find a way over his flaws like MK players did for him to make him top tier. Any character can get the this title but its the lack of people believing that their laggy character can do this.

You really believe that? The player controls the character, so if the player isn't good then that affects the character. I don't have a reason why he deserves to be high tier but I'm saying that he can do it but it takes the right person to help him achieve this goal.

Since I play Sonic and Ike equally, I'll give you some points on what you have to work on, as well as tell you what some would say..."You're doing it wrong!" over what most presume that Sonic has an advantage over Ike. If we can get you to that point...or at least get closer to it, you will know you are getting better.
