Unfortunately not mate. As time passes, you will find that a lv 9 computer acts nothing like a real opponent. They are far too predictable and do not use the same techniques as a human player would. On SWF, data in regards to lv 9 computers amounts to nothing...sorry.
A human player is at least 10x better to learn against then a lv9 computer..
It's a matter of going to major tourneys and winning I guess. I will be heading to fairly big one again soon I think.

No. As I have mentioned before, cpu's mean nothing to the competive world of Smash Bros. Thanks for trying.

Whilst I agree Sonic shouldn't be low tier (..well...maybe HIGH low tier >_>) I think after playing around with him for 7 odd months, if there was anything inherently good about him it would already have jumped out at us.
I think we've basically discovered Sonic and his capabilities in it's entirety almost.
He will never be top tier. Sonic doesn't have anything clear to set him aside from everyone else. He's not exactly got a chaingrab like Dedede, or a small black sausage like G&W and MK.

For those concerned about Sonic's placement the tier list, it probably will NOT change(much). I say this as when the tier list was made, in no perceivable way was Sonic 5th bottom. Most of the bottom half of the tier list, with massive favouritism shown towards some characters *cough*bowser*cough* just seems randomly made and very ill thought out. It's probably because most of the SBR avoid playing characters that aren't "omg auto win **** lolololol" in fear of catching some sort of disease or something, so I'd forgive their ignorance on that part.
My point is that even if we carry on, for example in tournament results, placing above near half the cast, it probably won't make much difference because people don't take Sonic seriously.
One thing that quite annoyed me about the tier list was Bowser's placement though >_>
Mostly down to the fact that on the tier list Sonic is more 10 places below him. On the Ankoku's Character Results thread at the time, Sonic was more than 10 places HIGHER than Bowser, and had been consistantly for MONTHS.
I know it's the tier list isn't entirely based on tourney results, but a blind, deaf new born baby with Downs Syndrome could spot a discrepency like that.
What annoys me too is when I look on results threads (yes, I'm nosy) and on quite a few of them people have the piss taken out of them for losing against a Sonic main (even when the Sonic main places highly.) Such tournaments have contained members of the SBR, but I don't remember any of those members actually trash talking about Sonic, though they probably did. It's insulting to be honest. "lol u lost 2 a soinc main" is basically insinuating that all Sonic mains suck and you deserve laughing at if you lose against one. It's disrespectful, it's immature (and I'm a young 'un saying this stuff lol) and it's downright wrong. Boxob doesn't suck at least >_>
Some day it is my reverant hope that the SBR stops taking this immature bull**** look on Sonic like "omg worst chara ever lol never wins anything all their mains sux lololol" and actually look at facts and figures.
We'd make a HELLA lot stronger case than most of the low tiers we placed below, and some mid tiers too, HELLA lot stronger.
But I doubt it'll happen.

Mmmm. The SBR keep looking at the properties of the character too much, and not enough of how we use them. But I don't mind him being there, just ignore it.

The mods generally aren't actually that great at smash.
Sure, they're tourney standard, but they're not exactly best in the world.
Regardless, I doubt we can do anything to change Sonic's placement.

2. People WILL hate you for reporting anything. The closing of the spam threads on that board completely halted all progress on Lucario's metagame. If you report spam, you are in fact directly contributing to his stagnation as a character. Mods who close spam threads are also responcible for the halting of his Metagame. This is because about half the Lucario mainers mained him for the community, which was largely fueled by spam. Without this element, a huge portion of the community stopped posting, and most of the useful posts also went away. They NEED spam, so even the most dedicated hate it when a person reports spam.

Like the dark ages, when everyone kinda took a step backwards because the only contributing people were like, not as developed in their personal game and had to rediscover everything again. Except we didn't burn our stickies.

It doesn't make a bit of difference WHAT tier he's in, if you're good enough of a player. Tiers are just a RATING, and it doesn't ****ing change or even PREDICT match outcomes.

Hmmm you tend to double post alot, and post where posts aren't necessary. Maybe thats it... I'm sure he has reasoning.
But to get a little more respect out of the people at SWF, I would stop posting so much. Make sure when you do post, they you are actually contributing to discussion rather than saying

It may well be good to know, but the post itself serves no purpose. People here will much sooner respect post quality over post count.

Tournament Results Thread :- Keep for now. If Memphis does not return, then myself or whoever wants to will remake the thread with new updates.

Toes' Guide :- Keep. There's some pretty useful stuff in there, gameplay mechanics as well as Sonic related things.

Sega Vs Everyone :- I'd probably prefer to see Greenstreets match-ups thread in place of it, but then with him leaving us for some foreign country at some point soon it's going to fall into disaray. So I dunno.

Please report all spam you see :- can go away lol. It's ridiculous that it took a massive thread necromancy project to get the mods to acknowledge our existance.

Teh Umby's Links :- Keep. He'll be back, he'll miss me, I'm sure.

Kuja's guide is waaaaaay outdated. Put the fond memories to the side for a second and realise it's probably not going to be too helpful to anybody.
