Daniel Craig is at least better than Timothy Dalton though. But Daniel was much better now than in casino royal and QS. And the movie was ****ing great overall, so I liked it allot.
It was pretty darn solid, I haven't seen the other two Craig Bond movies though. I felt like overall this was a great year for movies though, I've seen about 20 or so in theaters this year and only had gripes with a couple of them. I still missed on some that I'd like to see though.

Looking forward to Django Unchained and the Hobbit, great way to close out the year

@Eikelmann, Yea because shine grab is unstoppable >____>

...no.
/salty Gannon.

Also, run-in-shield is broken in 64 xD.

And yea, 64 chars have better shields in general, so even though there are "stabby" moves, angling is usually sufficient.

@Nintendude, Yea, I think light shield would have been nice addition to 64 without messing to much up for me. But whatevz, 64 is fine lol.

@Olikus, Yeah, Quantum of Solice was...well... bad. But I loved Casino Royal. /Poker Bias

i'm guessing you don't ever grab out of shine.
I do shine grab, but usually as Falco after laser approaches. Falco can't get as much out of grab as fox can so I don't do it that often, I should try it more. I just like shield pressuring, another bad habit I'm trying to break from 64, lol.

Now that MLG is out of the picture, have you guys thought of bringing up the issue of getting your own section? Or is this not an issue or as important anymore?

I mean I was militant about being moved out of "other games" (like I actually made an account on that other forum back in the day) but "Melee and 64" seems pretty fair to me. If melee doesn't mind, why should we?

Who were the geniuses that actually agreed the backroom was a good idea?

Quantum of Solace was such a letdown after how good Casino Royale was. With Vesper dying it could've made for an awesome sequel, but nope.

Skyfall was OK.

Craig is the best bond imo, because he's different. He takes Bond from a guy who's drinking a martini, banging a chick, shooting 20 idiot henchmen, and winking at the camera all at the same time to someone you can actually relate to. Some credit obviously goes to the director and stuff, but Craig's no-nonsense approach helps.

Bond movies are anticipated for a larger audience now. They're bonafide blockbusters. Before it was just like, "Oh, another Bond movie. That'll make for a nice Friday night in half a year."

I mean the great thing about bond has always been that bond movies are sort of popcorn flicks, right? There are a lot of very serious action movies with relatable heroes. Bond is like, impossibly smooth, inhumanly cool, etc. etc.

That said I still like craig

IMO only people who have seen that wasteland should be allowed to make fun of it

Yeah let's make Bond movies like every other action movie these days ...

I like Craig just fine though.

I really enjoyed casino royal too. But not because of daniel. If say Sean Connery was Bond it could be a top contender for one of the best Bond films.

Which is not to say that Timothy Dalton is bad.

Because he wasn't.

Just saying.
Timothy Dalton is an allright actor. He just isnt Bond. So cruel and Icecold, if it wasnt for his Bond looks Im not sure I would get if he was the agent or the villain lol.

But Bond movies are better than your typical action movies because we know the character so well, and Craig added another dimension not previously seen that makes Bond even deeper.

Craig adds substance and a grounded reality to take it above your "typical action movie".

At least we don't have the crazies here who don't like Craig because of his hair color.

...that doesn't even make sense.
Yes it does...

if you're going to poke at ganondorf's options (no pun intended) you should have said something about jab.
I thought of it, but thought dair was funnier lol.
But yes, powershield jab is op. Ban worthy IMO.

The poker scenes in Casino Royale were completely silly. And besides that, James Bond shouldn't beat the villain by catching the luckiest hand in the history of the world.
I said poker bias as a joke... but Casino Royale was as awesome bond movie, but yes, a not-so-awesome poker movie.

I mean I was militant about being moved out of "other games" (like I actually made an account on that other forum back in the day) but "Melee and 64" seems pretty fair to me. If melee doesn't mind, why should we?
My stance also.

^not sure if funny or depressing
Depressing.
but I laughed

Quantum of Solace was such a letdown
Yes

Yes

Seriously
Skyfall was OK.
wut

I agree I like the changes with the times and still think it's very much a bond movie, and don't think they've ruined anything yet. I like more old school shoot out in Skyfall, and the approach they took with that. Hopefully the product placement wont get out of control and ruin anything (the Heineken sponsorship wasn't even bad).

Quantum tried the whole, lets make this like every other action movie, and it came out horribly. I left the theater like, "was that even a bond movie... I forgot."

@Ballin', has you seen SkyFall?

At least we don't have the crazies here who don't like Craig because of his hair color.
Seriously xD

What is so deep about Craig? QS biggest problem was that it was a typical action movie. It seemed more like a mix of taken and jason bourne rather than Bond. Casino royal and Skyfall is great Bond movies. But thats not because of Craigs deepnes imo. Its great scripts, and good actors around him that lifts the movies.

Craig ahs some of the problem that dalton has by being to god damn serious and coldhearted apperence. But he got more human in skyfall which I think made him look more like a Bond than earlier.

AS Bond its all about the balance. You gotta be though and good with weapons. Good with the ladies. Dress well. And have a little bit of humor. You should look like Bond allso. But ofc thats not the most important part. Craig cant be blamed for being blond lol.

I think I wanted to go all Yoshi for fun, or all Luigi for a challenge against the better players ORRR go all fox and try the destroy as hard as possible lol.<---My Apex plan.

But yea, We can do Ness vs Luigi GFs after we split. Sounds like fun.

Honestly you're right. You called my bluff lol. I realistically don't want to not-go-Fox against the better players (or Falcon). AND this is the only Apex console practice I'm gonna get right now (Something about playing with pride/money/placing on the line is def different).

But seriously Sheer, if you go Ness on me, I WILL go Luigi and **** you.

Just sayin'.

This is true. But so is like, uair>upB :p

Also , I agree that Craig is sometimes just too ****in' serious and it's annoying. I was watcing Dr. NO a few days ago and it reminded me that Connery (and other bonds) were always in such a good mood and laughs everything off. Like no matter how bad things are, or if he is about to die, he just smirks, makes a corny joke, and thinks of how to escape. That's one (of many) unrealistic things about the old bond that I like.

Peirce did that great also. Lmao, shot outs to Peirce. That guy.

I like all dittos A LOT, with maybe Yoshi dittos being the most "not-that-cool" idk.

Odd that I want to have a Yoshi only tourney lol.

Link Dittos (on DL) are godly. Pretty much any dittos on DL is godly also.

Falcon dittos are silly. Ya know.

@Olikus, lol nice Dalton rating xD

yo yo i'm a let you finish, but go **** yourself
Yo I forgot to laugh at this lol.

Shotouts to Clubba.

But seriously, where the **** is Pete...

What are your thoughts on Falcon dittos? Or dittos in general?
:phone:
Falcon dittos are super fun, but unless you're trying to be as flashy and innovative as possible they can get very repetitive and stale.

Dittos are some of my favorite matchups as well, I like the whole "opponent has the same tools as I" sort of approach. Yoshi dittos are dope though, he's a great weight, fall speed and size for comboing himself, in my experience.

Link dittos are cool on DL, but yea, Hyrule can be very slow. I'm sure talented Link players can actually do lengthy combos on that stage but for me they're kinda slow, I don't really use bombs much at all, and mostly just boomerang for approach or in combos. People can spam those hella on Hyrule.

Silly? YEHZ. Fun? YEHZ!

If I have time to play singles, Sheer is going down.

Loto and I are taking doubles. Chalk it up, mark it down, however anyone wants to take note of it.

Who were the geniuses that actually agreed the backroom was a good idea?
I did it for knowledge and the purple name. And yes, the topics themselves were rather odd. :awesome:

Also, KB only player getting into the background :troll:

The only thing we did that was good was the N64BR ruleset and I think this an accomplishment of some sort.

The backroom was way lame. It was worth a try though.

I say was because it's still around but nobody has even posted in that crap for like a year.
