I've never usually talked with anyone whenever I've had to use public transport. In all the experiences I've had with public transport, everyone just seems to stay... completely silent for some reason. It's kinda creepy almost.

Everyone’s probably just engrossed in their phones, which is mostly how it is for me and my trips most of the time, but once in a while there’s that one passenger who likes to share their stories and it’s usually worth a listen.

I honestly thought we all agreed Hero was very likely going to release after summer vacation starts in Japan. Seems people are getting antsy for news, but that "leak" gave a really odd time for a Smash reveal to appear.

I did think it was weird that Geno wouldn’t return as a costume when Hero drops, so I was pretty skeptical (in addition to, y’know, it being a random 4chan leak).

I’m still strong on “spirits deconfirm characters.”

It’s similar to the box theory situation. “The two spots on the box don’t mean there are only two characters!” Yes, but’s it more likely they designed it that way because there are only two characters left.
“Characters being in as spirits don’t mean they won’t be playable!” Yes, but it’s more likely they wouldn’t add spirits of characters they knew they would be adding later as DLC.

The Petey Piranha spirit evolved from Nipper Plant. Wouldn’t it make sense for it to evolve from Piranha Plant? Yeah, but they knew Piranha Plant would be playable so they didn’t put him in as a spirit.

Please no. I’m already having trouble staying interested in Marvel movies. If they’re going to continue to mention this and keep it plot relevant, I don’t think I ever will again. I still think that they should have erased the whole thing from history, and that that’s the properly heroic thing to do when something that big happens.

The gauntlet has limits. This is very clearly shown. Hulk even mentions he tries to bring Nat back but couldn't. Erasing the whole thing from history from a narrative standpoint also severely undercuts the stakes and consequences. I know you think it's too dark, but clearly the overwhelming majority of people don't. Stories need these sort of things to have an impact.

Also, what’s with all the 4 hate? It was plenty of fun. Just because the sequel beats it in almost every way doesn’t mean it’s bad. I don’t exactly pop on to play it anymore but... it’s still fun.

I didn't say 4 was bad. But I would consider it the worst of the Smash sequels pretty handily, thanks to the game being compromised between the two console versions, lack of meaningful single player content, and pretty severe amount of cuts. I just don't really see an argument that it's better than Ultimate...which is what my original post was about.

If I’m not mistaken, Wolverine was actually introduced in an issue of The Incredible Hulk. If we somehow got another Hulk movie, maybe he could show up in there, and then appear in the post-credits of the first X-Men movie. Either that or probably just the post-credits cameo.

I really don't think we'll ever see another Hulk movie, it's too complicated. Also, if they were going to mimic Wolverine's comic introduction, they would have to make him a villain, which I don't think would work.

Because they told us 'Summer' for release and for a lot of people, its been summer for a fair amount of time. Schools in the US start returning from summer as early as the 2nd week of August. I didn't think to really consider it Japan's summer until recently. Hero may have some moves that resemble other swordsmen in the game, but in reality, it looks like there's a LOT that goes into him (3 completely different costumes plus a variety of Spells with different effects) so it makes sense he may take longer than even Joker to get ready.

intern-kun messed up by specifying july and nintendo rushed to make the date vaguer

it's definitely a july-only trailer because big summer games beyond july like daemon x machina, astral chain and link's awakening aren't in there

Still think it’s July. I think it WAS originally gonna be today, but Splatoon 2’s Final Splatfest is soon and they won’t want server issues like Hero dropping WILL cause (imagine the Japan traffic) so they’re prolly waiting for next week

My original theory was they said summer because they weren't sure if they would have him ready by July or if it would bleed into early August. Based on the ad, it's looking like it'll be July, if only very late July.
