So... Mario Maker is out today, right?

How are y'all enjoying it?
I never had Wii U or MM1, so I'm having to learn the basics first, but liking it from the brief messing around I've been doing in the different styles and themes

Probably going to jump into Story Mode later and do a few more of the tutorials before I start thinking bout making a level proper

Is it coming with the stylus?
No, the north american copies don't have one. I've got a few 3DS styluses hanging around that I can use though. Not a super big deal for me anyways, I'm more interested in playing levels than making them.

That’s a fair way to play the game too.

While I made a few levels which I published on MM1, most of them got taken down due to a lack of stars. And since that was a thing, I ended up playing other people’s levels most of the time rather than making a lot of my own.

having played it for 6 hours in handheld, i'll also say that a stylus isn't really necessary - the game feels much better using your finger than i was expecting

I don't really have any grievances playing without a stylus anyways, its how I played TWEWY. The switch touchscreen is a lot better than it looks.

>You get excited at first when you hear that Arnold may voice Terminator for the DLC.
>Suddenly you remember that the legendary Constantino Romero, who voiced the character for the spanish dub in an outstanding way, is dead.
>MK11 won’t feature his bless because of that.
>Now you are a bit dissapointed about that, even when you understand why and don’t find it as a deal breaker.

Still a shame that we won’t be able to see that anymore =(

After dabbling in Mario Maker 2... I know what I must do...

Create the most evil underwater Mario 3 level possible.

Speaking of a hypothetical Zelda maker, what other games would you want to see have a “maker”?

Kirby maker? I’d honestly like to see a Kirby gameplay with level design that increases the difficulty.

F-Zero Maker? You could make your own machines and race tracks. Oh wait we already do both of those in games before, please bring back F-Zero .

Pokémon maker? Would be amazing, but I could never see Gamefreak giving it the ok.

Star Fox Maker? If they somehow figure out a way to make 3D assets be easily placed, the arcady gameplay would actually lend itself to a level designer.
Pretty late, but I could see Castlevania working well enough to have one. Especially with the side scrolling elements most frequent in the earlier titles. At least I would prefer that more, and Simon wouldn't be the only playable characters. The bosses would be about what you would expect.

Almost everything I just said can relate to Ninja Gaiden.

Everyone wants to make something evil at this point, and I have no problem with that.

Mario’s a savage. He kills people, gets in their cars, and then runs over people in said car. Despicable.

Best comments I’ve found so far.

“Don’t get yeeted.”
“Yoshi yeeting ahead.”
“Trash.” (He died. lol)

3ds Styluses have the hard tip, right? They won't work on the Switch screen; it's different touchscreen tech.

One of the comments had Sans. I’m so happy intellectuals are playing this game.

I had fun with the first one but I don't really see any reason to buy the second one. I can't imagine that there's much difference and the novelty already wore off for me.

hope others can enjoy it though.

I just want a new metroid in general. I'd kill for one; it's my favorite Nintendo franchise, although Zelda often swaps spots with it or is tied.

It actually has a ton of new features, and I'm having a blast with my copy. But I get what you mean.

Power to you. If I ever find myself without much to do perhaps I'll give it a go.

All I want is Dragon Quest Builders to show my creativity and I havr to wait 14 days for that
I feel your pain. I'm not waiting for Dragon Quest Builders but something I'm excited for is coming out on the 12th, it's gonna feel like the longest 14 days ever.

Prime 4 feels more like a myth than an actual game at this point. Who knows when they'll next drop information about it, could be next E3 or one years from now lol.

Same, but honestly I'm glad they restarted development instead of pushing forward on a build that apparently wasn't great. I wouldn't be surprised if they reused assets from the failed start to speed up things.

Tbh I vastly prefer 2d metroid; Prime 1 is an audiovisual feast but have mediocre (if not straight up bad) gameplay. Prime 2 improved it, but still. The environments and soundtrack though, plus the immersion? Incredible.
