Goblins have some pretty good flavor text ngl
View attachment 286109

One of my first viable EDH decks was WAR Krenko too, just pump him with equips and watch the cannon fodder pour out. Didn’t win games too often(because literally a single countspell on Krenko murders my deck) but it’s fun to play. Might rebuild it eventually idk. As is all of my equips are in Syr Gwyn over here so that’s not likely.
Always wanted to build a Goblin deck, but MtG is way too expensive.

Heard about Pauper and considered it, but the peeps over on r/pauper said there are better red aggro decks like Burn and Monastary Swiftspear Gruul, and I'm also not a fan that a lot of the Goblin cards are super ****ing old, meaning getting them in good condition is annoying(That, and I don't like the old borders).

Personally yeah I mostly agree. I play Commander primarily so games are open to alot of jank tech, unlike most other formats where if you arenmt playing meta you won’t win. I once built a mono green aggro deck that absolutely and consistently shredded almost all of the main decks in my playgroup once I got going(the commander was a foil Showcase Renata I pulled once lol) I also really don't like old borders with the new borders, but I’m fine with the occasional one in my EDH deck. It’s usually when a decent chunk of them are the super old borders when it starts to bug me.

Yeah, ever since then I've just kinda... not bothered? lol

I can't really find an archetype I like, in Pauper at least, and all the other formats are too ****ing expensive. Someone told me I'd like Blue Delver but jesus christ for a deck of just commons that deck's like 120$.

Also how the **** do you sleeve a card like Delver?

There are creatures that science refuses to recognize.

But if our eyes see it...

If our cameras capture it...

Does it exist?

"If you procrastinate by playing videogames and ignore the main storyline, you're procrastinating your procrastination with more procrastinating."

Mario 3D collection brings a tear of fondness to my eye...

And yes, I did complete Pachinko immediately after entering the Plaza. Took a few lives, but no Game Overs.

Now here's an episode I'd watch in a heartbeat. The Flatwoods Monster is a seriously underrated and underused cryptid.

It's been one of my favorites ever since I learned it was the inspiration behind the alien ghosts in Majora's Mask.

That's actually the first time I've heard it called Underused.

Heck, THEM in Majora's Mask are based off it.

The Flatwoods Monster has actually also been featured in a few other games. One of them being Fallout as well as the final boss in this old NES game called Amagon.

Shocking there isn't even a horror movie on it. You personally would think given its probably the first thing that comes to mind regarding the town that it was named after.

I just personally haven't seen them in much media besides Them. They were also in that series inspired by Project Blue Book, I think, but that's all I've ever seen firsthand. It's nice to hear they're featured in other fairly popular media besides that.

Also I literally already mentioned the fact about Them (albeit I didn't namedrop the enemy) in the second paragraph of that post lol.

I will say

Mothman? Super over-utilized.

It's an owl.

Under-utilized?

Goatman, if only because I watched that one Buzzfeed unsolved video on it and it made me laugh a lung out.

Shame there isn't a horror movie on that either.

It combines two things I like. Both a creature feature and a slasher flick.

I mean, it'd be kinda a weak antagonist, you get away from its bridge and it can't do anything.

Unless you mean the goatman from that old, famous creepypasta which is a completely different entity entirely.

Are you sure you're not mistaking that for the old story of the Troll and 3 Billy Goats?

Also no I'm thinking of the Goatman of Maryland that wanders around Fletchertown Road.

I know there is also two other similar ones. The Pope Lick Monster and Lake Worth Monster.

Playing Mario Galaxy with a traditional controller is an experience and a half, but it's honestly preferable to the Wiimote, especially on handheld mode. I never could get many star bits with my little kiddie reaction time and the jank of the remote.

There's plenty of cryptids and mythical creatures that could use horror movies. But noooo everything nowadays has to focus and overuse sharks...As if we already don't have enough of those... :glare:

Akhlut, Arica Monster, Bunyip, Dobhar-chu, Ennedi Tiger, Gowrow, Grootslang, Hidebehind, Kelpie, Kushtaka, Mapinguari, Nuckelavee, Partridge Creek Beast, Piasa, Ropen, Qallupilluit, the list goes on.

We can also use more lake monster movies whether Nessie, Ogopogo, Champ, Lake Van Monster, etc.

Hold on...is that Golden Weed?
I need that for my secret recipe to complete that one side quest I got at the beginning of the game! I can finally get...wait...a Rare Blue Bull I just need to slay two more then I can get that Regal Claymore I've trying to acquire! Wait, what was I doing again? I dunno I can't remember, I'll do it later...

Some of you guys may call it a ripoff but playing 3D All Stars just makes me feel really happy.

These games have aged like fine wine, IMO.
Oh, it certainly ain't a rip off IMO. The package is an insane value with the quality of the games, and the only issues these emulated versions have are so miniscule that you're only gonna notice them if you're a speed runner or a specs person.

If I can manage to snag a copy before they go, I'll definitely enjoy every second of it. The only part of this whole deal that bothers me is the limited time offer, but given the evidence mounting that these games are probably NSO-bound at some point, I've kind of chilled on that matter (assuming they do indeed come to NSO at some point, lol).

Mario switching back and forth between his normal and low poly models in Mario 64 is quite jarring.
