Oh come on. Japan gets treated like an apolitical paradise with no problems to be idolized and strived for. When that's just not true. There are so many problems with their culture and how the people treat each other and treat themselves that need to be poked fun at. It happens with American culture all the time.

Aren't I supposed to be the one demanding more diversity in the demographics that get served instead of just exclusively pandering to the dominant narrative and popular opinion? Usually I'm Reshiram and ya'll are Zekrom, but right now it's very much the other way around.

Westerners overly fetishize Japanese culture as hypersexual and ara ara waifus everywhere, when in reality they're just a regular country, but showcasing these issues would help push back against the narrative that westerners love to push for some reason.

I mean, look at the amount if people who just go to Japan to get a "hot Japanese wife", and then just... strand themselves because as it turns out, their fetishization of a country was just a fetish.
