On a lighter note, anyone remember the show Catscratch?

It was actually really good. Too bad it got cancelled and pulled off fast because it wasn't doing Spongebob numbers.

Also had a catchy theme song as well.

That ****ing themesong is still stuck in my head even though I only ever saw it twice.

It was one of those cartoons that seemingly had a really awkward airing time that I vaguely remember but rarely ever got to see, like Chalk Zone.

Remember when Dexter's Lab tried to get a little more mature?

Yeah that was weird. And I'm not talking about the famous episode where they swear a bunch.

I have a really hard time stomaching horror but somehow Gravity Falls never freaked me out too much. There were a lot of moments that were creepy or shocking, but they didn't feel like true "horror" to me.

I suppose my weakness is tension cycles. I can't stand being held in suspense, but when the actual monster shows up I usually go "oh, that's not so bad".

Gravity Falls didn't really utilize tension cycles. Probably because its a family-friendly comedy with only some horror inspiration.

Hot take, but I don't find Courage scary.

There are a few jumpscares, but I personally differentiate startled from scared.

Hell, I legitimately never found King Ramses scary despite how much people meme about him. The only times I found Courage startling, were both jumpscares, the violin girl from the big city episode, which was a blatant jumpscare, and the infamous.... "You're not perfect..."

I remember a good chunk of the first few seasons of Dexter as well as Ego Trip, the episodes I remember of the later era of Dexter were Mandark’s origin, the one where Dexter got amnesia, the one where Deedee and the parents had to save Dexter after being kidnapped by aliens, Deedee’s imaginary lab, the one where Deedee’s imaginary friend teamed up with Dexter to stop this anime guy from destroying his world and the one where Dexter had a laser to clean stains but it ended up disintegrating his clothes.

The show was definitely unnerving most of the time.

Ya remember the time Dexter made 2 robots who ran away and became biker bar singers?

Best cartoon will always be Regular Show. Mordecai and Rigby are such fun and unique protagonists that get into all kinds of weird situations, and have to find their way out of them. And that's what gives the show its entertainment value.

Is that so? I wasn't keeping up to date on any expanded universe canon outside the ARG, so when Stan told the players of the game to shake the statue of Bill's hand, referring to it as "His Hand", I was under the assumption that Bill was still kicking in Stan's head.
Yeah:

That’s a quick rundown on the story from there.

I think the statue thing was more of a meta joke from Alex Hirsch’s view rather than Stan’s, as he did say he wanted fans to be able to have photo ops with the statue as if it was the real bill.

I'm gonna practice some Toriyama art. Cause I keep messing up the faces when I'm doing DBZ fanart. It's all slightly off. And that sucks because I feel like I'm close to getting the art to how I want it. Seriously, the muscles and clothing I'm fairly close to. But faces are currently my weak-point.

The digital "painting" went alright. Last time I did it, it was a still life of an apple. This time around I did it with an original character. Still need a lot of practice with it, and more importantly, I need a good square brush.

Hey amigos.
Random, I know, but I was making a list of my most to least favorite Nintendo consoles, and I remembered that the GBA was REALLY ****ING GOOD. I tend to much prefer console gaming to portable due to my big man hands, but the GBA library is seriously immaculate.
It has plenty of original games like Zelda: Minish Cap, Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, etc.
But it also has some of the best remakes ever. Super Mario Advance Series, Nightmare in Dreamland, Link to the Past, and Zero Mission just to name a few.
The Classic NES series for GBA is how I experienced the NES, as I was born in the SNES era. Though NES games are a dime a dozen now, this was before the Virtual Console, so having access to the greatest hits of the NES was very valuable at the time, and I still have great nostalgia for those little gray cartridges.
Not to mention, the GBA was fully backwards compatible with Game Boy and Game Boy Color, something that the DS cannot tout.
And perhaps most oddly of all, Nintendo released GBA Video, and you could legally purchase a copy of ****ing SHREK to watch on your GBA, as well as many other cartoons running on TV at the time.

So long live my favorite portable console (not including the Switch)! I think I'm gonna buy me a modded original GBA with a backlit screen. The SP is too small for my gorilla hands, especially the L & R buttons when revving up Super Circuit.

Surprisingly happens quite often here. When it gets super dry, you see lighting without rain.
Same for me. I wasn't aware that lightning without rain was uncommon elsewhere.

Cow and Chicken made me uncomfortable as a kid.

Never liked it.

Re rendered a few drawings so now they'll be in higher quality. Also fixed up another DBZ sketch. A bit cartoony, but I gotta get back to doing Toriyama style art digitally. I think my pencil stuff is fairly closer, still need to fix up the faces though.

Alright, here's the stuff I re-rendered. Had to get them in higher quality. The only down side to Toon Boom so far is that things look a bit "plasticy" compared to Photoshop drawing.

There was a problem fetching the tweet
