I still hate how they
left the cliffhanger of Bill being alive inside of Stan.
unresolved. The entire ARG they held after the show ended revolved around it.

Honestly, I think I like it best when cartoons do both the wacky adventures and overarching plot at the same time. Shows like Gravity Falls and Regular Show pull it off pretty well, which makes it both hilarious and intriguing.

Unfortunately, I feel as if a lot of cartoons try to have their cake and eat it too, because some shows just ditch the wacky adventures and become serious, and others forget the whole plot aspect, which just gives a decline in quality in the show. That's my big issue with shows like Adventure Time: they tried both, forgot one aspect, and then they show got worse. I think Star had the same issue iirc.

That’s what I’m hoping to accomplish with both animated series I’m working on.

You know, all of the '80s nostalgia happening in the last decade seems to focus on the neon or 8-bit aesthetics, but what about the style those cartoons had at the time? You know, the Filmation choppy awkwardness you'd see in He-Man and GI Joe with all of the poorly delivered humor and out-of-place moral messages. I'd like to see a video game or a new show in that style and play it perfectly straight :yoshi:

Bill isn’t alive inside Stan, that’s not the implication. In one of the books they published the great Wooper in the sky tells Mabel and Dipper that If Bill invokes his name he can be reborn again. Which is what Bill does as he gets wiped away.

He is now born again in another time to right his wrongs. Which is why people believe King in The Owl House is Bill reincarnated.

Is that so? I wasn't keeping up to date on any expanded universe canon outside the ARG, so when Stan told the players of the game to shake the statue of Bill's hand, referring to it as "His Hand", I was under the assumption that Bill was still kicking in Stan's head.

Speaking of which, has anyone seen the show Penn Zero Part Time Hero? Ir came out on the same channel as Star, at about the same time as Star as well, so Star took up all hype, but I remember it actually being pretty decent, especially in Season 2.

It ended better than Star as well, so there's that.

i always thought it would be fitting and funny if Bill was reborn as Rick from Rick and
Morty

This takes me back to when people were sure we were getting that Gravity Fall x Rick and Morty crossover.

Was that a thing or am I making it up.
No, that was just a theory

A FILM THEORY

....but real talk, it's because the creators of the shows are friends and it got popular due to Matpat's 2nd channel.
