Smash Lord
Torture? That’s the most inaccurate way I’ve ever heard it described. For some people it can be annoying, but I don’t believe it can be anything more than that. If you’re really that hurt over hoping for a character and not getting it, you should probably look at the character you got and learn to like it. I didn’t care for any of the DLC when they first showed up, but now I’m a huge P5 fan, I’m planning on playing the new Dragon Quest sometime soon, I’m a huge Terry Bogard fan, and I’m saving up money to get Three Houses. You don’t have to have what you wanted initially in order to enjoy it. It’s nowhere near torture. That whole thing hinges on the idea that "what smash DLC is" is a good thing in the first place. For me, that feeling you're describing is akin to torture and I hate it. It feels like they're stringing me along with the promise of "my favorites" only to give me Byleth at the end of it. And that has not been a fun experience.
