I know this isn’t the best time since it’s literally only me and somebody else active right now but I’m really tired and can’t wait any longer so um
View attachment 268491
just know if you request a non human character then it’s probably gonna be a human version in the end
Also it’s not gonna be black and white I only did that cuz it’s night over here and I didn’t want to hurt anybody’s eyes
And also don’t expect much
I'm torn between asking for Ankha from AC or Della Duck from DuckTales 2017

Take your pick between those two I guess x3

Free ARMS trial ended.

Pretty fun game, though I don’t feel the need to buy it. I’ve had my fill. Though I’m certainly interested in a possible ARMS 2, if that’s what they’re up to.

Hope the ARMS character is Min Min.

I played it for a couple of days and while I was invested, I quickly forgot about it. Like it's cool that the motion controls work so well and I wanted to try different characters but they just don't feel that unique or fun. Just pressing the same buttons over and over to charge abilities and punches and then not doing a whole lot of punching because that leaves you vulnerable. Not a huge fan of most weapons anyway. But maybe my biggest issue are the mini games in grand prix. You have to win them to continue and they have completely different meta than the rest of the game. I actually quit and never continued playing after a skillshot round with Byte and Barq. Because an extra fist isn't broken at all when you need to hit as many targets in a short time as possible. That and he clearly had better arms for that thing.

I just beat FFVII Remake.
Panda can go into this in more detail but

The Sephiroth in Remake is actually the Sephiroth Cloud omnislashes at the end of FF7. He went back in time to mess up Cloud so he doesn't win or some bull**** like that.

It's not an FF7 Remake. It's Sephiroth remaking FF7, and that's what they're selling to their long time fans who waited so long for an actual FF7 Remake.
WTF are you on about? Unless I somehow missed something that major, nothing in the game suggests a time travelling Sephiroth. In fact, it's the main characters that end up changing stuff towards the end. There are spirits called whispers that actively prevent changes to the story and the final part of the game is dealing with them.

The game ends with saying, "The unknown story will continue" but that was all Cloud and co. choosing to change destiny.

How long did it take you to finish the main story?

My dog woke me up at 6 AM by growling at me, which generally means she has to pee.
I let her out back because I’m not walking her this early and she’s not even peeing. She’s playing around back there. I’ve been waiting for 15 minutes.
Not exactly how I wanted to start the day.

I got some color swaps done. You know we stay repping Spider-Man. I got another sketch I actually bothered to finish that I might post later this week.

There was a problem fetching the tweet

If you're wondering what the variations are based off of, it's MVC Venom, MUA3 Iron Spider, Stealth Suit Spider-Man, and the regular version of Symbiote Spider-Man.

The Smash Bros. team is working remotely now.

I hope there are no leaks because of the fact they have to work from home. We’ve seen how Nintendo reacts to leaks in the past. Any leak could cause them to stop DLC development altogether until this coronavirus situation ends, which could be a while.
But I’m glad they are taking the steps to stay safe during this unfortunate period of time.

Without playing it, I could have sworn Sephiroth was trying to rewrite destiny, implying time travel.

Guess I was wrong there. It's still a reboot right? That's ****ing bull**** of Nomura no matter what.

in essence sephiroth has
  1. knowledge of his defeat
  2. knowledge of the original ending to the point where he's able to show the ruined midgar out of context to the party and present it to them as what will happen if they make the 'wrong' decisions (read: right decisions from the original ff7 that lead to his defeat)
  3. knowledge of the exact role of the keepers of fate and the awareness that manipulating the party into defeating them, as he does at the end, will allow the timeline to be significantly remade
  4. physical features like the black wing seen only in later material like advent children
we can argue the vague semantics of how he knows all this (time travel, lifestream, whatever) all we like, but it doesn't change the fact that remaking timelines is now baked into the plot in a way that only nomura's tom****ery could bring

Here's the thing Will. I called it a Your Story because they added an unneccessary twist to a very beloved game in the series.

In Your Story, it's revealed that the entire experience was actually a random kid playing DQ 5 VR and that the main villain is actually a virus infecting the game. Who asked for this? If the entire selling point was making a movie to DQ 5, why is it not DQ 5? This is a back-handed plot twist because for some reason a recreation needs one. We need to shock our viewers. We need to bait and switch them for this to be interesting. No. Resident Evil 2 Remake or Crash N. Sane Trilogy didn't need something like this, and that helps makes them successful and cherished.

The same applies to the FF7 Remake. Introducing the very concept that the original story already happens and we have to stop people from messing with the plot does not make this a Remake, which is disingenuous and equally backhanded. This is a sequel! A reimagining!

You just have to watch Max's reaction to the game to understand what people actually saw in this Remake.

Not Nomura doing his own thing with FF7, but a blast from the past given modern touch-ups.

I'm just disappointed. I really wanted to look forward to this Remake. Like I really wanted Part 2 and Part 3 to be made as fast as possible. But now I'm just filled with dread thinking about what stupid crap Nomura will greenlight next.

I agree. I do not want another ERSB leak situation.

But... why?
A: It's what Capcom and NRS are doing now, follow the FG Industry Leads and all that
B: So people know what they are purchasing when they buy the pass.

It doesn't matter for me because I'm getting everything reguardless. I just want to know. But there are plenty of people who don't buy the pass right away because it's contents is a mystery and they don't want to gamble. If the pack clearly said who was coming then more people would have already bought it and nintendo would make more money.

I do. IMO, nintendo should have revealed everyone right away.
I see you point there. It would be really cool to see what characters are in the Fighter's Pass right way. But after that 6 are revealed, there would be any excitement. Despite the wait, I like the speculation.

I don't know why people think this. As an NRS fan, even though they revealed everyone straight up, in TEXT even at the end of Shang Tsung's trailer, I was still excited at each new trailer. I was still massively hyped for each gameplay trailer. Heck, there was massive hype at the trailer that just showed us what they all LOOKED like. How could the same not apply to Smash, where every single character is by default a Terminator/Spawn level reveal with an even larger casual appeal than MK. At least over here in America, MK and Smash are the two fighting series with the MOST casual and general audience appeal.

but then what would you do for the next year or so? Unless you've played Persona 5, Dragon Quest, Banjo-Kazooie, or King of Fighters, you legitimately have nothing to speculate about. :ultbyleth:'s game hadn't even been released yet, so nobody can do anything about him.

Yeah, I like both methods. Personally, I prefer how Smash does it.

I understand what you’re saying, except I think it’s different for Smash. It’s always been a huge thing with everybody guessing who’s getting in next. We can still be excited for a character if they were all revealed, but it takes out so much of the excitement of watching the direct which was announced a few days ago to see if one of your favorites made it in. And you get to experience it for every single time another character is added. In your scenario, you get to experience that unique type of excitement once. Then you’re either let down or happy. Either way, that’s all the DLC for Ultimate. That’s it. You waited weeks to find out, and it only lasted a few seconds. It would take away from what Smash DLC is.

Yeah. Plus I think there would be a big backlash if all they're characters are not well liked by the community. By relieving theme one by one, you get a mix of excitement and disappointment.

That whole thing hinges on the idea that "what smash DLC is" is a good thing in the first place. For me, that feeling you're describing is akin to torture and I hate it. It feels like they're stringing me along with the promise of "my favorites" only to give me Byleth at the end of it. And that has not been a fun experience.
