Kinda unrelated, but it feels like many Westerners miss that other countries have different priorities when it comes to politics. There are a lot of political undertones in Japanese entertainment, they're just usually different. (unless it's Nazis, everyone hates them)

Just sitting here watching the UK daily press conference on the C-Virus before anime (What A Contrast!) and I'm wondering what the world will be like after the crisis depending on how long this all is.

Like some problems that were in the background a month ago have now been urgently brought to the forefront to do with pay, overhauling the health service and all that.

It really is crazy but now I think fate really needs to shake the Earth sometimes to get us onto the right track.

Also a quarter of the world's population is now living under some form of lockdown. Pretty insane.

And yet amidst all this chaos there are tribes in the middle of nowhere like the Sentinelese who have been barely touched by the outside world for centuries at least and like many events like the World Wars, the world moves on in their place further away than the rest of the world.

Just some random thoughts. A few of you guys like to discuss stuff like this.

on the topic of New Horizions, I'm curious, for any of y'all who have the game, who were the first two villagers on your island?

Mine were Bam and Plucky.

Plucky's very eh, I forget she's there half the time

Bam on the other hand I kinda dig, cool dude

they're still the only villagers there right now, but I just built 3 other resident houses, so soon enough, I'll have a couple more come in

I can't remember the other one, but I know that I have Axel. I used to have him in New Leaf too.

Hamlett and Pashmina. My brother said there were new villagers coming to our island soon but I haven't seen 'em yet.

Oh dang, Pashmina was one of the starting villagers in my first ever New Leaf town.

Sylvia (Kangaroo) - I kinda forget she exists. Mostly stays in her house.

Beat Doom Eternal. Hot damn dude, that game is fantastic. Like, when someone says that a game is an instant classic I usually roll my eyes but so far this past couple of years has been full of them. Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, God of War, Doom Eternal. Game is fraggin incredible.

I'm honestly curious on when unironic hardcore weebs got the notion that Japan is the most perfect place with absolutely no "SJWs" and everything's an uncensored utopia free from "western influences"

I wish I could get Doom Eternal, but looking at those system requirements just screams no. And it's not really a game I'd want to play on a console, so no PS4 version for me either.

As for Animal Crossing, I did time travel just to finally get the town hall. Let me tell you, having actual music back is such a game changer for the better. Haven't done anything besides that though, partly due to a headache and partly because I don't actually want to earn things too soon. I solely did it for the music, and can be patient with everything else.
