Ugh there's just a part of me that wants to catch the coronavirus so it can pass through and I won't have to no longer deal on worrying of catching it. >.>

That's how annoyed I am over this.

Ok, but it is it Creamy Chicken Flavor? This matters.
Actually it's a variety. A ****ton of bulk generic chicken ramen(talking like 40+ individual packs a box) and like 2 smaller beef boxes(roughly 20-ish?)

If I reallllllyyyy wanted too, I could ration that **** for a couple months. Just eat ramen for lunch and that's it. Simple as that. But that's gonna be my last-resort, and it isn't there yet on the "omg-the-world-is-ending" meter.

Whenever I feel the need to put on a smile on my face, I go to Google Images and search "Nicholas Cage".

Everytime I do I always find something which makes me smile on the results.

Is one of those things the "Not the bees, NOT THE BEES!" or any of the faces he made that turned into a meme?

Tsk tsk, there's no h in Nicolas Cage.

My absolute favourite use of that scene:

Further news for those with plans involving the Nintendo World store in NYC.

There was a problem fetching the tweet
It’s going to be disappointing if we get a direct with no reactions for once from the crowd there.

Jesus ****ing christ, why do all these Draw PG's need to be so damn expensive, I just want to build a comp deck for once :v

Thankfully Bushi is finally reprinting some of the draw PG's in the upcoming Trial Decks, so chances are they'll be $5 a card tops. Which is still expensive af, but it's better than ****ing $100 for a playset.(Which you do need a playset, it's either you run 4 Draw PG's or you run none)

I forgot how weird Sotenbori looks in Kiwami 2 since they couldn't remake the whole map in the new engine, it's like revisiting Kanto in gen 2.

Oh yeah, so I'm out of a job for 12 days now...

This COVID thing is just... wild dude. I feel like in a post apocalyptic movie and this is the first act...

Edit: if anyone else is dealing with this applying for Unemployment isn't a bad thing. The government is being very lenient with it apparently.
Update: turns out I'm getting payed for what I was scheduled for those two weeks.
That's actually a really nice surprise for a company that is usually not that up on the whole Proemployee thing.

I know 2016 was like, total anarchy for a lot of people. But honestly? I was too wrapped up in Pokémon sun and moon to feel anything but pure unadulterated hype.

Viruses are weird.

They can cease their bodily functions, essentially dying, and then return being animate. Does that mean they are zombies?

I don't think they're technically 'alive' to begin with.

Honestly, they've always looked like little nanomachines to me.

I think there's still no consensus on that one.

They are at the line separating organisms and complex molecules but it's hard to say which one they are. Most biologists say they don't satisfy the criteria of being alive but some say they play too much of an active role in other living beings to not be alive.

With viruses being such a point of contention amongst biologists, I always wondered how the discovery of alien "life" would challenge our current definitions.

I always imagined alien life as something completely different then anything we have on Earth, not made of cells or even DNA as we know it, but rather made up of their own self-replicating structures. Of course I use the term "imagine" loosely because it'd be impossible to tell what such creatures look like - there's a reason most pop culture depictions of aliens are just anthropomorphised or monster-fied versions of creatures we've seen on Earth.

But eh I'm no real scientist, and I doubt we'll ever see aliens within my life time. I just think its a neat topic to think about.

That's interesting because some scientists believe that life on earth might have started on other planets (panspermia) or at least, that's where viruses are originated.

Looking at different moons/planets and thinking how life can exist on them is super interesting, I'm with you on that one.

This is something that transcends culture and time.

One day society is going to find something that freaks us out.
I do love that clip.

Making blanket statements and adhering to stereotypes, whether conservative or liberal, young or old = bad

Working together to come up with solutions in harmony as best as possible, even with differences in opinion on certain things = good.
Believe me, I would love that. I'm an independent and a centrist. I believe there are things of merit on both sides of the political spectrum. But there's an "us vs. them" mentality that only gets worse with more toxic vitriol from both sides. Hell, both sides hate me.

I'm honestly really skeptical of the idea that life came from space, because the idea of life originating elsewhere, somehow traveling through the vacuum of space and surviving, then just so happening to land on a planet perfectly suited to it seems far more complicated then it just originating here to begin with. This goes doubly for viruses, since they're dependant on life by nature.

But I suppose we can't rule out that possibility entirely.
