I was talking **** on the Ice Cream fam. I should never want to lick a pokemon.

I mean, let's be honest, every single Generation has a couple bad designs and... I think Ice Cream is a legit bad design.

It's ok we're all allowed wrong opinions. I think X and Y was worth my 300+ hours for example

Most of the Gen I Pokemon who we see most frequently are exactly who you'd expect to get promoted. Pikachu, Eevee, Meowth, Charizard, the starters, Gengar, Dragonite, Mewtwo - the usual.

I think "Everyone knows who these Pokemon are. Let's promote them." is closer than, "Everyone loves these Pokemon. Let's promote them". Game Freak is just taking advantage of their most iconic Pokemon.

I mean, they've got some icons from the other gens too,

like what about Lucario, Greninja, or Blaziken?

I know they've been milked already in the past, but in no ways as much as the gen 1 pokemon

I'd just like to see some variety every once in a while.

I think alpha challenge mode Charizard is pretty rad, but it’s all opinions.

I like Vanillite, it's cute. Also its shiny is strawberry pink, how can someone dislike it? Vanillish is also pretty decent, though Vanilluxe always kinda creeped me out.

I'm not sure you're aware of this but I enjoy making terrible jokes which only relate to specific key words in a post, this case being advantage as I felt "hehe The Pokemon Company CEO owns a ****ton of cash by exploiting Game Freak and you said 'take advantage of' so wouldn't it be funny if I made a pro-union joke?" Yeah, I haven't been wowed by the designs either, besides a couple like Corviknight and Imidimp. They aren't bad but I'm not getting the "instant fav" feeling that I got from other reveals in the past. Even with gen 7 I remember not particularly liking the first few reveals but after that they were great.

The possibility that this has the least amount of new Pokemon yet isn't helping to assuage that.

Only characters I like are Phoenix Wright and Heihachi. Otherwise no thanks I probably wouldn't buy either.

We've seen Tyrnitar both in a battle and on the overworld and no, it is downsized when in battle, noticeably so. You can't have a better comparison than showcasing the same Pokemon in two different scenarios.

Okay, you got me there. That's actually really confusing.

Maybe this is an Let's Go Aerodactyl situation. It was way smaller in combat then in the overworld for some reason, even while other pokemon like Paras and Gyarados where more properly scaled.

Well, speaking of designs by generations as a whole, Gen 4 is probably my least favorite one. That doesn't mean I dislike every Gen 4 mon, mind you, I just find it to be the weakest in sheer number.

So, if any of you are semi familiar with Bendy and The Ink Machine or Showdown Bandit, the company who owns those games, Kindly Beast, recently fired 50 employees, the employees who were fired proceeded to complain about harsh conditions and unfair treatment, the CEO privated his social media accounts, and one of the team members who is miraculously still on the team said that "it had to happen," but he's not gonna tell anyone why.

I don't like being involved in drama, but boy do I love watching it from a distance.

True but to be fair, piranha plant’s have tons of appearances and abilities from across the Mario series. Monokuma is never shown doing much, such is the nature of a VN type game.

I'm still waiting on that Overwatch download. Should be done tomorrow.

I do have to say though, I don't think I ever waited for a game to download this long before. Definitely gonna pay attention to the size of games from now on.

I'm gonna have to agree on this one,

A good chunk of them are forgettable, even moreso than gen 1 tbh,

It's the only generation where I can't even manage to pick a defacto starter, all three just don't do it for me.

That being said, there are still a small few I'm fond of, like Darkrai, Leafeon, and Glaceon are pretty solid mon

and I guess Bidoof being Bidoof gets a pass as well.

I'm trying to make sense out of all this Pokemon talk when the last game in the series I've played is from gen 4.

Even the starters are pretty lame, the totodile line is the only good one and even then croconaw is sort of ???

The design itself is okay. Just would have liked it to be a bit more colorful.

Vanillite = vanilla
Vanillish = vanilla and chocolate swirl
Vanilluxe = vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry Neapolitan

I like Vanilluxe, but honestly that whole line lacks good designs.

Chandelure is the best example of how to design an inanimate object mon. It looks like what it's based on, but not to the point where it's just that object with a face. The color scheme helps the design even more.

Funny thing is, looking through them, Gen 5 has some of the MOST solid design of most of the games. I mean Cubchoo, adorable snotty bear. Krookadile, cool ass gangster lizardile. Chandelure, cool ass idea for a evolutionary line. Haxorus, BAD ASS. Samurott, probably the single most sickest final evolution for a water starter. Then you got the Vanillite line, ice cream, ****ing ice cream but bigger, ****ing double ****ing scoop ****ing ice cream ****ing WHAT THE **** IS A CREATIVE?

Spinda is automatically forgiven due to the random placement of it's spots making it that more of a novelty than anything

I've collected hundreds of Spinda due to the sheer fact that they're almost always guaranteed unique from one another
