I'd argue 2017 is up there for one of the greatest years in video game history

like just take a look at this list,

Persona 5, Breath of the Wild, Cuphead, Nier Automata, Mario Odyssey, Fortnite and PUBG bringing mainstream attention to video games. Oh and the Nintendo Switch was one heck of a console for sure.

I'm surprised at exactly how much we take it for granted

It was worth it though. Spent that summer playing Botw and Splatoon 2, and added Mario Odyssey to that collection shortly after.

I was gonna get one anyway, but when they announced Pokémon would be on it I knew I had to get one as soon as possible.

If that's true, than damn, that's a short list. Honestly I'm mildly excited for at least 7-8 different games(most of them being Nintendo games)
