Look unless they revamped Roy's moveset like Link, I don't really think anything changes how he feels like a heavier Marth because that's literally how he was designed in Melee.

Hell nothing changes how there are three Links in Smash.

That's odd considering they're both midweights.

Do you even play the two? It doesn't take a competitive player to tell you they feel different.

Roy is the antithesis of Marth. Marth is designed for careful blows where you aim for the very tip of of his sword. He's a flashy character designed for skilled players to show off.

Roy is extremely fast who is very powerful when you're in your opponent's face. He's a character friendly with all skill levels and is a good pick if you want someone who you can just hold forward with and press buttons. I'd argue he's more similar to Captain Falcon then Marth.

He and the SourceGaming team have translated almost every primary source regarding Sakurai. He's not some rando.

I think it's extremely dumb to jump to conclusions now.

Because we don't know WHEN these fighters are coming out.
We don't know HOW these fighters are being distributed.

And we're all debating over what the word "Worlds" mean in this context, when in reality, it was kept vague enough so that it wouldn't be obvious.

Because if they really wanted to say that all the characters are from new franchises, they would've straight up said "new franchises" or even "new series" themselves in the translation.

The presentation wasn't live, they had time to ****ing review what was gonna be broadcasted.

So that's why I believe that it's incredibly ****ing dumb to rule out anyone at this point, especially when most people here agreed in the notion that DLC beyond the FP was fair game for pretty much anything.

With Sans/Meglovania, I'm kind of disappointed that other Mii fighters didn't get music bundled with them, I really wanted "I Am Impact" with Goemon.

Funny story about Mystical Ninja on the N64, I played it when I was real young but I remember getting stuck in the very first room of the game since I didn't know how Japanese sliding doors worked and I thought I was trapped lol.

I've played them, I just can't see a huge playstyle difference beyond "hit people with sword but think about spacing." Comparing it to Ike who is functionally so different and visually has different motions.

Like, here's my thing. Roy is different from Marth in properties and mentality. Smash 4 really did him justice to not just be like he was from Melee. My real issue is that three fighters have movesets entirely built around Marth as a model, and Lucina is fine because she's one echo.

Furthermore, I'm not saying Chrom is the worst thing to happen to Smash and you should feel bad for loving him. I just can't dig the very concept of Chrom being an echo of a Marth-structured moveset, and Roy and Lucina were decent exceptions in my eyes.

Been a Minute since I talked about Mega Man.EXE in particular. So how many of you would be interested in seeing him somehow be playable? Since he's a Gun+Sword character, there's a lot of ways to tackle him. But he's got some other cool stuff too. Like Heavy Stamp, where he turns his boot into a Giant Weight and stomps on ******. Would be a great Down Air or Down Special. Or maybe let him throw the giant Hockey Pucks from the 6th game.

Obviously, he's also got a Slide Kick, since he's had a couple platformers.

Your close-mindedness gets you in a fair bit of trouble whenever your opinion conflicts with another. Especially when said opinion is either common, backed by reason, or both.

You just gotta loosen up and make more of an effort to understand other people's points instead of doubling down on your own to ridiculous levels.

Not necessarily a bad thing, but it's something you gotta make an effort to change. Otherwise you'll just keep repeating this cycle.

I really like the designs of all the Sword/Shield Pokemon shown so far, but none of them really stand out as Smash bros. fighter material to me at the moment.

Since I actually care about Pokemon, it's easier for me to give a **** if one gets added. But there's no Gen 8 Pokemon that says, "Bro this thing needs to be in Smash or Pokken".

If there is one that's cool enough for that, then we'll see. And Pokemon's success is far more impressive....than honestly ANY game series, so whether you like it or not, it's easier for people to justify a Pokemon getting in.

Not that it should matter since you should support what you like as it is. That's what I'm doing.

But you guys know what series I want to see more out of any way.
