At that point, you might as well just judge their skin color holy crap. How does it being from Fire Emblem matter when you admit to knowing jack **** about the series?

Because Fire Emblem has been done. I don’t like the idea of having to set aside a slot in every installment for another character from ANY series just because they change all their characters every time.

You can tell me the properties of Marth and Roy's swords are different, but you'll never convince me it's not just two dudes swinging their swords in very similar motions. Not everybody studies the comptetive scene to care about this.

It doesn't take a competitive player to notice that one has tipper sweetspots and the other has hilt ones.

This just seems like such a backwards way of looking at things to me. We play as characters, not franchises. I'd take an interesting character from a pre-existing series long before some schlock like Earthworm Jim or something just because it's new.

But we're saying Three Houses doesn't just give you a different character. It's soundtrack has hip hop, trap, and dubstep, the general structure of Fodlan and the academy can make interesting stages, and its cast all have visually unique characteristics and designs.

Like the only thing it shares with other FE games from a first impression standpoint are turn based strategy rpg, the artist, and the fact that it's from Fire Emblem.

So, now you should be educated, brain cell loss aside.

Obviously the Chichuhahua roster is superior. Additions such as Bowser. Jr, Villager, every Third Party, and every single Fire Emblem character ruined the franchise. And such icons like Savvy Stylist, all four Champions, Lana from Pokemon, and the Girl from Haji no Mori, are just what it needs to reclaim it's name.

Man Awakening's story is weird. It predominantly focuses on Chrom in one third, slowly gives Robin more importance by having him singlehandedly develop the strategies to defeat Valm, and then the last section is dedicated to discussing Robin's importance in the story. The final map and ending is literally dedicated to him (even the song, Id Purpose).
