Claude's easily my second choice when it comes realistic options for a Three Houses character. Love him too.

We're purchasing characters, not franchises. Three Houses is a major new release for Nintendo that's gotten critical and commercial acclaim and has a cast of characters that are well loved by fans. That's not even mentioning the potential for stages and music.

Smash shouldn't be forced to pretend Fates was the last game just because some people get upset at a character-driven franchise having a lot of characters. Give me a Fire Emblem 8 Player Smash, I say. Edelgard for Ultimate.

Three Houses is a pretty good game so I see no harm this time around.

Really, it's a great game to rep. All of the Three House lords buck Fire Emblem traditional protagonists in some way. Edelgard's the one to start the war, Dimitri actually suffers heavy ptsd, and Claude's just a big mouthed smart alec. All of them don't use swords either so it's chalks one complaint off of the list.

Hell, Byleth can use every weapon in the game and has time powers and a chain whip. All of them are such good picks.

I would love Edelgard or Claude exclusively because they're not dominantly sword users. Axe and Bow mechanics would be a fresh addition. I wouldn't mind a another Fire Emblem character, either. Three Houses deserves it. (Please give me Claude)

You don't honestly think someone like Edelgard, Dimitri, or Claude would play anything like the existing Fire Emblem characters, do you? None of them even use swords.

Even Byleth wouldn't. Despite using a sword they'd be closer to Simon than Marth.

I think you might as well say that you don't want any more first-party characters. You haven't outright said it, but everything you've said seems to imply that.

Three Houses is a hard disagree. That game is way different from your average FE experience and has a lot of new things Sakurai can implement.

All four lords have severely unique traits that separste them from each other and previous lords from the series.

Honestly, I'm really digging Banjo and Kazooie's designs in Smash. I kinda wish that these were the actual canon designs, even though the changes are minor, but eh.

Or I can just pretend that they are updated designs, since these designs were approved by Microsoft.

So I like Awakening. It was my first FE game, I put 100s of hours into it, and Chrom will always have a special place in my heart.

But 1) We already have a FE echo in the form of Lucina. Who thought it was a good idea to make another one?

The next Smash comes out, a fan favourite Pokemon that is already in Smash (let's say Mewtwo) is replaced by a SwSh Pokemon, the fans flip, "now we can't even have our favourite Pokemon in Smash!"

Neither had a fighter-ready model nor could they really work as an echo, unless Ike didn't drift away from being a true mighty glacier.

I don't deny that. I'm saying Chrom as an echo bothers me. If he was a unique fighter, it would be nowhere near as bothersome, but I'd rather have an echo for a series that wasn't represented yet.
