Since Banjo & Kazooie have been confirmed for the Fighter Pass, along with K. Rool and Ridley being added as newcomers to the roster, how would any of you rate Smashified's art depiction of these characters? Their artwork of K. Rool is fine to me, but I heavily dislike the art of Banjo & Ridley they made.

I think Smash's artwork surpasses Smashified's in a lot of ways. Smashified's Ridley for quite some time made me feel that MANY things looked kind of off with it (The teeth, from the quantity to the uniformity, the arms, the head...just to name a few), but I appreciate what they did in a time where we felt Ridley was still going to be pushed away yet again. And I love how Smash's Ridley design implemented both Classic and Other M designs together pretty much flawlessly. Meta Ridley, I like that it remembles the Classic/Prime/Brawl one, even if I am still not entirely used to it not being EXACTLY like the original model.

As far as I know, from what I have seen, a collab could be, like you said, asking different artist to do one thing in their style and then put it all together, or, if an artist draws something, you color it or you draw something else to put along that other artist's work. There might be a lot other ways to make one.

I plan to do more work on my Paper Mario game ideas after I get home from work, but I wanted to focus on villain ideas and while I do have some concepts for one of my own, I’d like to hear if anyone has any other suggestions for what could be an interesting villain for a Paper Mario game.

A character who tries to make the Mario Universe "Normal" after being fed up with the zanyness of the games. Perhaps he has a group of lackeys that try to force the Mushroom World back to being normal?

I can't explain it, but think of Lord Business from the Lego Movie, and think of his plan, and apply that to Mario.

Here's my line-up of characters:

I commonly use these five characters when I play Ultimate. Seeing fanart for any of them (but especially the first three) would be nice.

For example, he campaigned for having no original characters aside from Kersti, and had the storyline become much less of a focus.

Miyamoto's actually been known to do that quite a lot. Like iirc, he had Rare turn their project, Dinosaur Planet into a Star Fox branded game due to the anthropomorphic animal characters striking a resemblance to Fox and crew. That game ended up becoming Star Fox Adventures

Still love the guy and no doubt is an innovator when it comes to gaming, but he can make some interesting decisions sometimes

Okay, what if Bowser’s up to his usual schtick. But this time there’s a mysterious cult that seems determined to help Bowser succeed no matter what. While Bowser’s being a goofy villain like usual, the cult is preforming more sinister acts from the shadows to assist him.

...or something like that, I made this up on the spot.

Yep, I want to see if I can create something around those lines. So far the idea I have for a villain already would likely resemble a Shaman.

That’s more or less what I have in mind for my villain idea, an powerful being with artistic powers who hopes to find fulfillment in making Bowser and the Koopa army her muse and helps him create new forces and power up his existing ones. The sketchbook and pencil characters belonged to her initially before they grew uncomfortable with what their owner was doing and decided to assist Mario and Peach in stopping her.

Paper Mario's antithesis is a rock, a la rock-paper-scissors in a land where he's the only Paper character. Playing off the idea only he could defeat him.

Though CS was far more original everywhere else. It was wacky like the first 2 games.
