No, I mean with Paper Mario in particular...

Like, apparently with Sticker Star, he interfered quite a lot.

For example, he campaigned for having no original characters aside from Kersti, and had the storyline become much less of a focus.

Miyamoto's actually been known to do that quite a lot. Like iirc, he had Rare turn their project, Dinosaur Planet into a Star Fox branded game due to the anthropomorphic animal characters striking a resemblance to Fox and crew. That game ended up becoming Star Fox Adventures

Still love the guy and no doubt is an innovator when it comes to gaming, but he can make some interesting decisions sometimes
Adventures was actually a move on part of Nintendo to keep MS from acquiring a new IP. And like I said before, I don't really blame him for SS faults as I believe it wasn't really a bad idea to try something new with PM.

So movie related question. Whose the best cinematic villain of this year so far?

Obviously bias of mine. King Ghidorah.

Gigantic three-headed dragon. Remorseless. Malevolent and sadistic in nature, Shows no sympathy to those he kills. Enjoys to reign terror and destruction killing everywhere he goes until nothing alive is left. Pretty much was the inspiration of Satan aka The Devil itself in the MonsterVerse as the bible states "The Devil has three heads".

Nothing can top that. The kind of villains that's been missed. It was great to see that kind of villain again in its full glory. :shades:

A character who tries to make the Mario Universe "Normal" after being fed up with the zanyness of the games. Perhaps he has a group of lackeys that try to force the Mushroom World back to being normal?

I can't explain it, but think of Lord Business from the Lego Movie, and think of his plan, and apply that to Mario.
Maybe this force could be the canon reason why SS and CS went in that direction.

Big boy Kevin is having a stretch with his brothers I see.

I haven't seen many movies this year but Thanos was joke in endgame.

The Angry Birds.

The way they just went and dethroned Detective Pikachu as the highest rated video game movie was brutal.

Serious answer, Grimmel.

Grimmel really worked as a sort of anti-Hiccup.

Yes I am biased.

Especially the treatment. They just dispatch of current Thanos 10-15 minutes in the movie and just brings in past Thanos from 2014. So cheap. I was hoping he'd begin to notice how the heroes are undoing his life-long goal he finally achieved forcing him back into action to try and stop them.

Thanos without the gauntlet would tremble in fear before King Ghidorah and that's a fact. :shades:

Wouldn't you guys love it if this was real.

https://boards.4channel.org/v//thread/474556395/new-information-for-smash-ultimate

Doom Slayer AND Phoenix Wright with a Second Season Pass. One can really dream.
I still think a second season is at least likely. I mean, there’s a first time for everything. Just because it hasn’t happened before doesn’t mean it won’t happen now. And multiple seasons for fighting games is just... the norm now. I know Nintendo typically doesn’t follow industry trends, but it also makes more sense financially to continue to add content to your existing game, rather than make a whole new one. You make way more money per unit of content, and as long as that content is good, your fans eat it up.

Going to be honest here, I will find it hilarious if Doomguy doesn't get in the pass after all the fake leaks.

Tfw Angry Birds 2 is only one positive review away from the elusive Certified Fresh seal

In case you're wondering a film needs to be at 75% or higher and have 80 or more total critic reviews, including at least 5 from top critics in order to get that seal

If it hits that, it'll the first ever Hollywood video game adaption to achieve this status

I haven’t watched a lot of movies this year. So i’ll semi-cheat and day ZIM from Invader ZIM: Enter the Florpus. Or the concept of change from Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling. Or that sleezy agent from Rocketman.

Sorry. I just never got to see a lot of the movies I wanted to. And I don’t like Thanos or Endgame.

Wait, Shazam came out this year! Change my answer! Dr. Sivanah ROCKED!

Ever seen David and Goliath?
******** please not even an comparison. Thanos compared to King Ghidorah is an ant in size.

King Ghidorah alone rising like the freakin god damn devil would have Thanos fleeing screaming like little baby girl for calling for her mommy before he suddenly atomizes him with his gravity beams. :shades:

Dog I’m seeing this movie this weekend.

I hated the first one, it made me so upset. The fact that the sequel sounds actually good is the funniest thing I’ve heard in a while.

I thought over it and decided remembering back I actually enjoyed the first movie. It was funny, cute and actually had some heart to it despite its goofy exterior that'd make you assume otherwise. Will see this if I can in theaters otherwise I'll get around to watching it on the internet.

If the Sonic movie delay ends up for the better, we might actually have 3 good video game movies in a row.

This IS the future.
Even with the redesign I'd expect it to still be a bad movie tbh. I do give props to the director listening to fans on the backlash of the original design. Not many does that.

I wonder if Nintendo will eventually reveal the results of the Heroes vs Villains tournament. Everyone was hyping it up to be a Smash-Bros version of Splatfests or something and it'd be an anticlimax if it just went up in smoke.

Man do you sound like an obsessed fanboy. I won’t disagree that your outcome could happen too but I’m just saying sometimes even small forces can topple giants. Why do you think diseases are such a threat?

Ironically I do admit to that fanboyishness. Looking at a huge Godzilla fanboy here. :p :roll:

From the director that brought us those Resident Evil movies who was chosen over George A. Romero the godfather of zombie movies.

Too bad it isn’t really doing well financially though...

Pretty much lost interest in Captive State and The Intruder as I've seen those type of movies before.

Instead replacing them with The Angry Birds Movie 2 and Ready or Not.

Yeah, it's a shame. Probably a bunch of factors.

People might've been too spooked by the first film (in that case, I don't really blame em).

Not to mention Lion King is likely eating into it's target audience.

Also, Angry Birds as a series really ain't that relevant anymore. Like the target demographic for this film, likely 5-8 year olds or something, weren't even born when Angry Birds first came out around 10 years ago.

Let that sink in for a moment There's likely a generation of kids who weren't around during Angry Birds mania :oldsnake:

So I was listening to a Video Game medley and one of them was the Angry Bird theme, Which is funny since people are talking about the franchise movie from what I can see but I digress. I was listening to that medley the Angry Birds theme showed up and it reminded me of this of all things:
I don't know why I'm nostalgic for this of all things but I am. This brings back some good memories.

Wow, it's been a while since I've heard that...

The first Mortal Kombat movie is still the peak of video game movies and nothing will ever change my mind on that
We don't talk about Annihilation though
