I actually like this toned down version of the run. Gives the same vibe as it does in BK, but without it being grating for others. If they do a remake or a new game, I'd actually prefer this sound.

Okay. Before I come of as a jerk, let me make a point. There are certain characters I want but don’t ask for. I would love to bring in Raiden from MGS, or Dig Dug, or any one of my top 50 favorite Pokémon, or characters from Diddy Kong Racing/Donkey Kong Country, or Mortal Kombat and Killer Instinct Fighters. But I don’t often bring them up or even say they should happen because there are other characters who deserve it more (characters I don’t even like).

Fire Emblem has plenty of roster representation in Smash. You want new stages, music, spirits, heck even bosses, I’m all for it. But proportional to the importance of the series and how many characters other more important franchises have, Fire Emblem is way over what should have been its maximum. And the only reason for that is that it has a new cast every single game.

All this is to keep the roster evergreen. To make it so that people don’t look back and scratch their heads at why Robin is here, they were just the flavor of the week protagonist from that one game a decade ago.

I picked Black Eagles myself, and I really do like Edelgard. I’m in Chapter 6, so I haven’t had a reason to not like her, as her ambitions are those I would agree with, and have had myself.

I’m leaning toward romancing Edelgard, but have interest in Petra/Shamir as well. I like their designs and personalities as well.

I just hope I don’t regret it later in the story. But I have a feeling my heart will be broken at some point in the story one way or another.

Edelgard in Smash would be awesome, and I would honestly be completely down for it. I don’t expect it in any capacity, but I would love it. Not only is she an axe user, but there are gameplay functions in Three Houses, like using a Gambit, that would be interesting in regards to an overall move set.

Sure, Fire Emblem has a lot of characters. But remember, despite the backlash the current roster has shown, there’s been demand for basically all but 1 of them. Marth is a classic, Lucina is popular, Robin had demand pre-Wii U and is arguably the most unique, Ike is one of the most popular lords, Chrom was highly requested for Ultimate, Roy was a major request upon his absence in Brawl...the only one who wasn’t actually requested all that much is Corrin.

Edelgard probably wouldn’t get the warmest of all welcomes. But I think she’s grow on people fast considering her personality, abilities, and unique standing from others in the game.
