What I learned from Genesis is...

Never let Joe (or anyone else) borrow my controller! Neither my L or R buttons function anymore! Leave it to a Fox main to **** a Peach players controller.
So this is what it feels like to have a broken-in controller

I should have went to this. It's okay, I"ll be at a lot more tourneys as long as Festizzio or anyone else who gives rides goes to them.

kouryuu your controller sucks and it's your fault

I'm using obey's controller right now and it's really good

What I learned from genesis:
how to have a better attitude for improvement
^get at me, I'll be ****** everyone in like 2 months lol

a few more things i learned:

i really don't understand this game that well. watching all the good people play makes me feel not quite as big, i really have a long way to go.

and one thing i've been considering but was reinforced this tournament:

smash is 100% willpower. not really 100% but willpower does absolute wonders and is a huge factor in deciding who wins. you have to want it

I agree with you Kira. It seems like the person with the more will-power will have much more of an advantage. The problem with myself is that I never have the will-power to win, not even in tourneys.

I just enjoy playing melee so much with people that I forget that my purpose is to win. However, since I do not really play much with people, it explains why I am distracted from thinking about winning. I guess when I get used to playing people, then I can focus myself to win.

i meant the thing i learned from genesis is: introduce yourself

before you play a friendly with somebody or just in general

perfect for semirandoms like me when talking to oos'rs

what I learned was, introduce yourself to good players before you MM them. if you do well vs them, they'll know about you and if you do bad, then they'll know you suck lol

i think one of the funniest moments is when i was wondering around and happened upon jr vs pat in pools

pat is wobbling him and they are having a pleasent conversation on the side

idk how many people could be smiling while being wobbled but pat seems to know the trick
hahahahaaha

wobbling isnt all that bad

id rather be wobbled 4 stocks than play a fox that pewpew's all day and doesnt attack

I posted this in the Norcal thread too, but part of the responsibility of being a panelist is being on time with your updates. SO GET YOUR **** TOGETHER ALREADY

F**k you!!!

Edit - The only person that still wants to do the PR is me! Mango isn't on aim, Zhu lives in NorCal at the moment and Lovage can never make up his f***en mind about wanting to do it or even being a panelist!

probably on a platform
maybe we need new panelists if they wont step it up
agreed

i know i said this somewhere in the thread, but you've had like 3+ months of tournies to use, can't be that hard to finally get something new

zhu being in nor cal is a lame john because he still knows how good people are and is coming back in like 2 months

i'm sure there are 3 people who would be on top of a PR and get it updated enoug,h lovage is leaving so someone would have to take his spot anyway, and mango doesn't seem to care about the PR atm because he feels it's useless (said something like that a while ago in the thread)

i mean there are tounrnies practically every weekend and so in theory this could be updated every month at the least, idealy no longer then a month and a half

is an update every 2 months too much to ask?

6 times a year?

8 tourneys to look through per update?

Atlus, Kira and someone else should be a panelist

most likely Zhu Since he's always on aim even he's in nor cal right now

Weren't Mango, P and you in charge of the 2008 SoCal Melee awards? What happened to that? Is one time a year too much to ask?
As if the socal melee awards are even close to as important as a PR! There's no reason not to have a PR! The awards are just for fun!

mango should always be on the panel tho

yes, that's all the more reason why it should be done, there's like no work to be done, just check between

fly/connor results

put romeo somewhere

decide on a 10th

done

too hard?

We really do need to find new panelists. Mango obviously doesn't care and Lovage is moving away soon (and doesn't seem to care either, according to Atlus). I'd rather not put Joe, since he's moving away in a month.

We really should find [new] permanent panelists really soon.
