yeah i'm confused that zhu and joe are both ranked in socal!

nah it's just Kouryuu hasn't done **** but lose to non ranked people (Pnoy, Futile, McCain)
McCain hasn't really done much either besides beat Dajuan(?).
They better step it up and start beating the players ranked higher than them if they want the prestige of saying they're in SoCal's elite.

lol, i've beat more then that in nor cal connor, i always lose to the same few top people in so cal, zhu (like every tourny), kira, you, etc... and in nor cal it's been jeff, zhu, germ, i really wanted to prove myself this CGC but that didn't happen
i maybe not have beaten anyone in so cal who is above me, but i also haven't lost to anyone non ranked recently except genesis
i still don't get why joe is on this list when he is just so cal for hte summer, hey joe, when do you go back, maybe we'll see each other at a nor cal tourny before i go back to school

well i mean the point is that zhu and joe won't be living in socal at the same time at like any point for longer than a few days, so I just find it weird that you'd choose to rank them both in the same period

They're both Socal that's why. Joe lives here and it seems like he just went on vacation to us because he goes to so many tournaments in Socal even when he's in school, but after the next update he'll probably have to go. Zhu spends most of his time here and if Norcal wasn't going to rank him then it made sense for him to be on this one.
It wasn't hard to determine the order either, a lot of the better players in socal are consistent with their placing or who they beat and lose to, so it's not like the list was made any worse for having them on there.
macd go beat a fox for me so i dont have to play them at hugo's tourney
edit - kouryuu and macd didn't have enough merits to make it on either way. if anything psychomidget is just as consistent as macd (they both only lose to ranked people for the most part) except he always beats macd so he would've been closer to making it on.

i totally understand why i'm not ranked, and i agree with cameron, he keeps beeting me, though like 4 of our 5 matches were from when i first got there, that last time we played though.... next time cameron, i'm coming for you

The same tourney I lost to McCain, I beat Atlus, Kira, and Lovage. And sure I've lost to Pnoy but didn't you lose to Boback in that very same tourney? Don't get me wrong, I can't brush off my loses but it's not like I don't have my wins. And everyone has their bad days as well. I got ***** at the last SCSA and I guess stabs tourney when I lost to McCain. But other than that, I've only lost to ranked players. Not to mention, I beat McCain at Genesis.
I guess beating Silent Wolf (#1 ranked in Washington) at Genesis doesn't mean much either, right? As far as my losses go, I lost to Dark Mike and S.O.S (one of top three players in Texas). Yeah, those must be terrible losses huh?
Don't get me wrong. I personally don't think I should be on the rankings (nor do I really want to be) mainly because I'm too inactive/inconsistent (I guess) and I haven't beaten enough ranked players as much as I should have to be ranked.
However, I do find it pitiful how the panelists do a half *** job on putting the spotlight on players who possibly have enough merits to be ranked. I don't keep up with McCain but does the panel really look into his tournament results and see how well he does in tourney? What about Maple? What about Pnoy? And on top of that, the panel went as far as to cut the tenth spot because no one is "consistent" enough or (insert faulty reasoning here).
You guys ask for Socal to "step it up" but it's kind of hard when we know the Panel is lazy and only does a half *** job with the rankings. You guys needed people like me and McCain to ***** in order to add Zhu to the rankings. Was it really that hard to realize that Zhu needed to be on?
If anything, the Panel needs to stop being lazy, actually keep record of tournament results and start doing it's job. This panel isn't nearly as organized/accurate as the Brawl PR. Maybe the Melee Panel should learn a thing or two from them.
In other words, Melee Panel, step it up.
