Somebody drove a car into my mom's office and stole the TV in the waiting room.

On Christmas Day.

And she had to get up at like 3 in the morning and didn't get any sleep =(

My dad worked as a panel beater, and when he had his business, it was broken into several times over the years. They stole all kinds of tools and expensive equipment.

Wow, sorry to hear that.

Someone tried to steal my dad's car when it was in the shop. They broke the windshield but couldn't get it to start so they left.

Never any house invasion. Although one time we came home and my parents bed was slid a few feet from where it was previously. Kinda freaked us out but we searched and no one was there and just kind of shrugged it off.

Yikes. x.o

Well, from my tiny knowledge of crime, I bet the police could get a sketch of the thief and ask around, but that's about it.

Nobody's stolen from my (read: family's) property before, and I'm thankful. However, we did think my little sister was kidnapped once, but we found her behind a door covered in Destitin. (Don't know how it's spelled, but it's the stuff that parents put on a baby's backside if it's sore) Parents were freaked. Out.

I was on a road trip (so I had a lot of stuff with me), and while we were staying outside of Seattle, our car was broken into. I had over $500 worth of stuff stolen, including a video camera, iPod stuff, and keys to my house (which is luckily a couple thousand miles from there)

uh... My mom's car got stolen a long time ago. We drove around town until we found it and just 'stole' it back because the criminals weren't home.

That's amazing.

My mom and I were visiting NYC and our car got stolen on the last night we were there. The police there are so unhelpful. We waited an hour at the police station so the guy could finish his donut so we could file a report. They never found it. It was a corolla too so it's not like it was an expensive car lol.

I'm never driving to NYC ever again.

Exthcuse me, I-I b-believe you have my t-thtapler.

When I was about 5, my house was broken into while my family and I were home. My father took him down with a bat, so that's the end of that story.

Oh and also, my brother (who used to live in a very bad neighborhood) woke up one time to find a stoned out drug dealer knocked out on his living room floor. Yikes.

If they got the video, and it clearly shows the guys face, he is screwed. They will likely get a positive ID in a couple days, and go arrest him. GG.

Visiting from above.
Especially if the guy is a repeat offender, it's possible that one of the cops will recognize him. If not, they can play the video locally until someone calls in about it.

If you've got a video showing his face, it's safe to say he'll be caught, unless he's smarter than the average crook.

Our family was robbed once but it was before I was born. Dude stole a bunch of jewellery as well as a few other things. Anyway the police found him and there was as car chase (no really). Anyway the guy crashed and his car went up in a flaming ball of justice. The jewellery was badly burnt but we got some of it back (be it a bit singed) and the guy died in the accident so I guess you could say everyone won.

We have not been robbed since.

Some kids went around volunteering to clean our apartments for charity. Luckily, everyone turned them down, but in the midst of their chatter with the girls in our complex found out what time everyone leaves for church....

During that time they came and went door to door stealing things from the apartments that didn't lock their doors. >_> Thank goodness ours was locked. But that's the closest I've ever come to being robbed.

The UK police are useless. I wouldn't trust them with a rubber ball.

Like 5 years ago, someone stole my moms jewelry out of my parents room once, luckily though, she was able to identify her own jewelry at this one place, and we later found out it was my aunt who sold it for money (most likely for drugs). The same person who broke into our car and stole a bunch of money. We don't know where she is now.

Someone syphoned our gas once while our car was in the driveway. We don't know who it ones. Difficult times cause crimes, I guess.
