Did you watch reflex vs vinnie? Malcolm isn't good at the match-up at all from what I've seen. The only wario I've played that has actually been good at the match-up was phantomX but he quit awhile ago. I would say reflex is currently the best at it out of the warios but he still doesn't play it optimally.

This is just a matter of there not being many warios anymore.
So, apparently, me losing 1 game in ICs vs Wario makes the matchup reversed. It's still quite terrible, nobody mentioned the fact that I died in my 20s on castle siege game 3, and was chasing him for the rest of the match. Reflex is still good, but I lost 1 ICs vs Wario match, on a counterpick. Chill.

You went IC's game 1 IIRC. I don't even remember you making it to game 3 I thought you lost 2-0 because you went peach game 2. Maybe you spiked him game 1 or something though, my memory sucks.

I'm perfectly chill nothing that has happened has changed my opinion on anything. I've always thought IC's vs Wario was even or slightly in IC's favor. You losing or winning something doesn't really hold any value to me.

Also, IC's are good on castle siege.

Hylian, against Wario who is pretty motivated to not get grabbed, running away with a lead... How do you deal with them? Bait their jump or something to uair them or just wait for something?

However, if that's how it occurred, I could see the problem. Castle Siege is a very highly tactical match flow control stage. The IC game plan is generally going to be use Uair to take the lead in the first section because it's hard to run away there. On section two with the lead, ICs can either abuse the statue platforms to make projectile camping difficult, or can elect to destroy the statues to create an FD like stage since the upper platforms are pretty far away. The third stage is like FD, with the added bonus of the tilts creating better IB frame traps.

However, if you lose the lead on area one (especially a stock lead), chasing on area two is a nightmare and area three is stallable as well.

I watched the whole set of reflex vs vinnie, basically game 1 reflex was going for the timeout on smashville vs Vinnie's ICs, and he easily had it because he had the lead by a good 60-80%ish, but he was panicking at the end because vinnie got a bit of momentum and was overcommitting to being way too defensive where it was predictable what he was going to do and ended up getting grabbed on the SV platform while it was offstage and got spiked at 60ish (I think) and died. Game 2 Reflex bodied Vinnie's Peach. Game 3 was Castle Siege and Vinnie had a nice 60-80%ish lead, but Reflex managed to pressure him on the 2nd transformation so he was close to the blast zone and got a fart read and Vinnie died around 40-60%. The rest of the game was Reflex just baiting and punishing Vinnie since he was forced to approach and won pretty comfortably at the end.

Reflex is really good at the MU because his brother also mains ICs (elev)and did work with them in our region for a bit, but got married right after he got really good with them so he's not really known much and he only enters tournaments that are in his city now.

I underperformed worse than I ever have in my life in winners semis yesterday. ;;

I got your text btw, Lux. But not 'til after the set. I would probably have done significantly better if I had you coaching. lol

Hylian, I can not begin to explain how sad I am about you closing that thread. It was easily the most entertaining part of this entire site. I'm sure Lux would agree.

I just don't understand how the pro Wario's are able to get a half-charged fart... do they watch the onscreen time?

A waft is fully charged at 2 min. It does the most damage then.
But a waft at 1 minute 30 seconds or a "minute and a half waft" has the most knock back. So typically, when your clock gets to 6:30 be weary of warios booty.

55 seconds start the good knockback fart.

1:50 is when fart becomes fully charged and does **** tons of damage but at 1:49 it is the strongest fart.

^ It's 1:56 actually...
That's not true if the fart is fully charged at 1:50.

It has the most knockback 1 second before it becomes fully charged. So if it becomes fully charged at 1:50 the strongest waft is at 1:49, and if it's at 2mins it will be 1:59 etc.

I actually live like 30 minutes away. I might not enter singles because part of it is on Sunday and I don't do stuff on Sunday.

Mad respect for Smoom.

I mean. I'm religious and all, and go to church. But to refuse to miss a week despite a national 30 mins away... That's dedication.

When Future and I teamed at whobo, we pulled off a quad CG, sorta. We both CGed different people at the same time. It was PS1 so it ended our CGs though :(
