I never got how changing your controls makes those things easier. I play default and also play falco and i can bdacus out of everything including shield drop fine.

Not BDACUS. DACUS.
BDACUS is a matter of timing. DACUS goes farther the faster you can put the inputs in.
And R to attack is what Shiek users use because Z is queer and much more difficult for some reason.
And for IAP, it just feels easier to have my thumb rest against Y and X and just roll it slightly to IAP than rushing my thumb from Y to B.

On a side note, BDACUS out of shield drop must be extremely fast.

Changing your controls is the best thing you could possibly do to speed your game up.

Since people have already claimed that I'm the most technical, I can agree in the context that it's not me being able to do it. It's because I custom built my controller and modified my input layout to streamline every input for AT's

What I do, anyone can do. They just have to dedicate themselves and not making it harder than it needs to be.

I have a phrase I like to tell people that ask why I use my controls the way I do. I tell them, "I went from bad to average when I decided to stop trying to play melee, and decided to play Brawl."

*shrugs* I can dacus perfectly with sheik without changing my controls. And yeah shield drop bdacus is fast, but super useful.

I think I'm the most technical lol then again I think I'm one of the most technical brawl players period. I was an extreeemmllyyy technical melee player and this games tech skill is a joke compared to melee.

Smoom, the difference is that Hylian is my IC idol and I model my style of play after his (only technically more streamlined and faster because of the new options I have).

I'd venture a guess that I probably know his option selection system better than he might because of how much film I've watched of him play.

So when I see stuff he does that there are better, faster options (like in the vids of him vs. m2k), I cringe, because he should be better than me on every level since I try to emulate him. But because he doesn't keep up with the metagame, so to speak, I cringe where I see situations where I safely desync but he gets hit out of it and stuff like that

Either A: get good at the 2011 CG
or B: practice my other CGs on characters that I have trouble CGing.
