shffling is a melee term that cant apply to any character in brawl.

im talking about short hop fast falling dair, nair, bair, and nair, with any and every character in brawl?
uhhh.... well the fast fall isnt that important to it, but i get the fast falls in on my short hop aeriels. i SERIOUSLY doubt im the only person on brawl who does this.

Yes he does. Uair can be buffered into an air dodge so that it has less lag than landing normally. Same natural input, similar -- if not the same -- effect, but different mechanics.

It's not a smart thing to do with all of your aerials. If you hit the ground before the autocancel frames on any aerial then you'll experience aerial landing lag. Best example I know is Ganondorf's fair.

By normally I hope you mean "without aerial landing lag" (or whatever the term is for it). Landing with an air dodge will still cause a character to experience soft/hard landing lag.

Reduced landing lag. In other words, 5 frames instead of 12. IIRC, L canceling would reduce lag by down to a minimum of 5 frames.

You can't l-cancel in brawl, that was my point so shffling doesn't exist. Fast falling isn't usually very good from short hops either because you won't autocancel.

And where exactly is the fast fall? You can't fast fall uair into airdodge so you can't shuffl.

Why? Do you understand shffling in melee? At the peak of your short hop you use a move and fastfall it then l-cancel to apply pressure/combo. MK cannot do this into an AD from the peak of his SH he will hit the ground from fast falling.

The fastfall occurs just after the apex of the short hop. You can buffer an airdodge and fastfall. I've actually just done it quite a few times in training mode just now. Actually, I'm going to rescind that statement. I've been FFing with the airdodge.
I really hope that you aren't serious.
Wtf I quoted the wrong post (I wanted to quote the post where you put the frame difference). But okay, I was just making sure I wan't missing anything here. xD

But the whole point is to fast fall the aerial lol, fast falling the airdodge isn't shffling especially considering there is no airdodge in shffling lol you don't fast fall an l-cancel...
