It's a decent idea if you like vBrawl's physics over Brawl+'s, but the characters aren't very well balanced yet.

Yoshi's "game changer" was making his worst arial (fair) act like Donkey Kong's side-B if the opponent is on the ground. As an ex-Yoshi main, I can tell you that that is just the thing he didn't need.

I thought it was that egg roll giving back his second jump, making him live forever?

That being said, I haven't played it, so meh.

What can I say? Bbrawl was designed for those of us who believe standard Brawl is a high quality game. If you are not a member of that group, it may just not be for you.

Of course, if you just judged Brawl harshly based on certain abusive tactics of specific flaws in balance, giving it a try definitely wouldn't hurt...

I believe BBrawl is what Brawl+ was intended to be at the beginning, just a balanced version of Brawl. However, Brawl+ decided to evolve into Melee-. The developers didn't press B.

I'm definitely all for BBrawl.

Of course, if you just judged Brawl harshly based on certain abusive tactics of specific flaws in balance, giving it a try definitely wouldn't hurt...

I judged it harshly due to extreme campiness, lack of a good combo system, stupid infinites, and an extremely *****y community centered around it. And I'm one of the few who actually doesn't hate it with a burning passion.

I'm not going to debate anything about Brawl btw, people who do that are usually doing out of sheer ignorance/bias towards one side, and Brawl vs Melee threads are stupid.

i've never played bbrawl, i was actually gonna try it tomorrow, im sure its a fine game, just as brawl and melee are.

Brawl Balanced is still in it's preview phase. Seriously, calm down. People act like changes aren't intended to be made. Regardless, the point of the project is to change as little as possible in the first place. BBrawl and Brawl+ have entirely different goals and cater to different players. People would rather flame than actually contribute useful feedback. This thread is childish as hell.

eh call me biased, but i'm not really all that much a fan of hacking anyway. Especially when i'm still having fun with the original game. But different strokes for different folks I guess. Don't see why there has to be a controversy. Everyone's entitled to play which ever version they prefer.

What I'd take from it is that Brawl sucks too much to be fixed, but then again, I hate Brawl with a passion.

I can only enjoy it with items on and weird stages, and I usually am not a fan of that type of play. Textures help, too.

Which is why I usually just adhere to Melee anyways.

BBrawl never felt right to me (probably because it feels like regular Brawl), but it's a decent idea. But I can tell you that if you like Brawl+ more than Brawl, you will like Brawl+ more than BBrawl. It's pretty obvious.
