Wonder what life would be like if I didn't **** at this game as much as I can.
I **** so much that my opponents butts hurt.
When I saw brado at GT2 I had to lul because I could picture him and Tamoo together IRL and I caught glimpses of him starring at Tamoo but they never made an solid eye contact, just flirting with their eyes.
One day maybe I will stop sandbagging and just **** like I usually do....I need to stop giving people hope when in reality there is no hope there

I was sandbagging in that mm we did and had just finished from playing Brawl and I nearly won (don't give sandbag johns cuz everyone tries their best against me) so don't lie I'm incredibly good w/e yeah anyway you barely beat me cuz and I probably should have tried but I didn't give much of a **** cuz it was £1 like lool that's nothing compared to all my money YEEEEEEEEEE. I'm out.

I would stick with Mario j3ly. It's what is making you interesting right now. Switching to Falco/Fox will make you a very tiersomely average player.

Easy for someone who mains a good character to say, but if he has genuine aspirations at becoming a better player sooner or later he will become limited by the mediocrity of his character. It's all very well being interesting sure, but to win against good players playing good characters you're only putting yourself at a disadvantage most of the time by going as anyone lower than a high tier.
EDIT Jeez that Samus is no joke.

i did enjoy watching ur mario tho.i know! this is the main reason i never switched to another character, the averageness, the conformity. Im only doing it in the interests of raising myself into the top 6, because mario's worst matchup is marth and we have 3 marths. i would still main mario but i need an unbelievable **** fox/falco for bad matchups. And that is POINTLESS unless the fox/falco are ****, because marth is very hard for the two of them and you really need to be the superior player to win that matchup. with mario against marth, if he spaces well who is the better player doesn't make as much of a difference, but i rekon i could take cboy with time with mario

You forget I mained Samus for 2 years.
I didn't switch because of match ups. That's not a good reason, I switched because I could not see how to improve with Samus. I was totally stuck with her, I switched to Peach purely because I could play her, then to Fox because I liked him. I gave up Fox because I could not succeed with Fox. The skill it takes to be GOOD with Fox is ridiculous, he's easily one of the hardest characters to play well.
What you will find is that you be mostly the same with maybe more success in some areas. But what you are doing is putting yourself at a huge disadvantage against the top few players who are already more than aware of how to deal with a Fox where you have 0 tournament experience against their characters.
I suggest sticking with your character purely for the reason that I believe if you manage to persevere you will be more successful in the end. Axe is REEEEDICULOUSLY good, I don't think he gave up Pika when he got let down. You just need to stick at it j3ly and you'll get there, put all the energy you have into really learning how to fight a marth, you can do it.

edit in new post - you hit the nail on the head, i dont see much room for improvement with mario anymore there is still improvement to be made, people tell me that i have gotten better but i see no improvement what-so ever - i still **** noobs as hard as i ever did, and still get kicked the **** out of winners bracket at the first sight of top 4.
i may be getting better faster than whoever started at the same time as me (im pretty sure i am) but that makes no difference when edwin is still getting even more ****ing best every week and you are catching up to fuzzyness etc
with fox i see room for improvement.. i see enough speed to actually PENETRATE, i see the ability to move around the stage without getting caught up-to and hurt, i see the ability to OUTCAMP lawless campers like fuzzyness and edwin.. and while i see no range atall i see a guarenteed 0-80% combo on marth from an upgrab and other things
to say ive reached my peak with mario after less than a year is preposterous, but the curve is certainly beginning to flatten out
ps i am WELL aware of how hard my fox currently sucks!!

i dont enjoy marth at all anymore it was fun playing NTSC , i must confess sometimes i enjoy playing marth vs j3lys mario cause when he combos me i smile cause i know its just that hard

i enjoy fox far more than mario, have done for ages, just not as good with him.
falco i only really started playing whenever it was unreal came over.. monday or something. but i began ****** hype in dittos yesterday so there is some improvement there at least. falco is crazy fun, and makes all my knowledge of wavelanding off platforms NOT totally useless! :D
edit: ty VA i am aware of the momentum of the task infront of me... but i always thought i would be the best from day one otherwise i wouldent have gotten into competition, remember this conversation as the pivotal moment where i went from interesting mario to genuine threat

Stick at it, you can't be any worse than me. If you see more potential and more fun in a character, and you aren't placing really high anyway, what do yo have to lose? Going out in pools a few times? Welcome to my life. Play the character who is more fun for you.

Jelly Bean: your not a fox main, your too smart for him haha im not even joking. fair enough if you can play that smart for the set even when your opponent is camping but imo the different chars have different defining attributes.

now i aint saying you wouldnt make a great fox player but right now your smart as **** and as impatient as Prof at KFC.
you need to work on timing and spacing like Marth, sheik, peach or jiggs. and seeing as you aint gonna pick up the last 2 i advise at least picking up marth/sheik as a secondary.
