While redeemed now, No Man’s Sky certainly wasn’t good at release date so I think it would be an excellent pick.
(I forgot a song so I’ll add it before the end of the day today)

You drive through space with procedurally generated planets and stars all around you

Bad Mini-Franchise: The Cheetahmen / Action 52

I am far from sure about the legal status of the Cheetahmen, but their legacy in the world of poor video games cannot be understated.

Racers: The Cheetahmen (all three as a single team)

Vehicle: Spaceship (Wheelless Kart)
Track: Action 52 (The Cheetahmen)
This long, single-lap track is a mashup of various Action 52 games rather than focusing on just one. Space segments, of course, serve as the transition between different worlds, with the final one being the world of Cheetahmen itself.

Balan Wonderworld

An awful platformer by the now-infamous Yuji Naka, who trades all four face buttons for a single jump action. Pretty silly. But Balan Wonderworld is quite beautiful, so to see all of that outside of its game would be pretty cool.

Racer - Balan

Vehicle - Vacuum Blaster (Bike)


Track - Bells of Ice (Medley of Winter/Grim Creeper/Hurray!!)

You play through a very accurate recreation of Chapter 8 (Lap 1) before the gigantic Grim Creeper appears in the sky and begins to terrorize the track (Lap 2). Lap 3, after they are beaten by the avatar kids. Then the infamous dance scene happens and you drive through it, with the dancers arranged as the sides of the track.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space is a cult favorite so bad it's good Horror movie by the Chiodo brothers, featuring some amazing practical effects and designs that even got them a spot at Universal Studios Halloween Horror nights and a video game.

Racer: Shorty, Slim & Jumbo


Track: Crescent Cove
Song: Killer Klowns from Outer Space


This track has you driving through the town of Crescent Cove as you see how the Clowns have taken over the town and their parade which has devastated the town with Cotton Candy Cocoons. You then drive through their Big Top and see various other Killer Klowns before seeing Jojo The Klownzilla and then the track loops.

Music: The Room Main Theme

A longer track basically showcasing the landmarks of the movie itself. It’s like Mount Wario but you pass various landmarks and there’s even long parts with San Francisco landmarks where you go past the Golden Gate Bridge and what not. You’ll zoom by Johnny’s townhouse, the flower shop, etc. Watch out for the other cars and vehicles on the street though!

Submit up to 5 animal racers!
Anything from the animal kingdom is allowed - the sky, the sea, prehistoric times, even beneath the microscope. You can submit dinosaurs that were previously featured in the Jurassic Park mini-season, but note that they'll have scientifically accurate feathers instead of the scales the JP movies tend to use. If you plan to submit a dog or a cat, please submit a specific breed instead of the vague concept of dog or cat. Humans and neanderthals are not elegible, but all other primates are.

This "franchise" won't be getting skins or tracks, so we will be adding 11 racers from this job.

  8. Ice Crystal - can be thrown as weak but rapid projectiles
