SEGA Arcade Stage: Fortress(Zaxxon)
Zaxxon is a shooter game throughout a robotic isometric world. In Battle of AGES it acts like Pilotwings, where you are battling on the planes but make sure you break the fuel drums that pass by otherwise the plane you are on might come down. This was also the first arcade game to be advertised thanks to a Paramount commercial. And while I’m at it:

Wait a minute Lu Bu was historically known for betraying people so why is he an assist? I mean that is a good idea but historically confusing.

There was an alternate pitch for him that was edited out, where I believe that aspect of him was incorporated by making it so that could also damage the summoner. So there are ways of making use of that if we really need to

Resubmitting Time Traveler

Time Traveler is a 1991 holographic FMV game where you help a cowboy (Marshal Gram) travel throughout time to stop the evil time lord, Vulcor, and save Pincess Kyi-La. It was groundbreaking for its time, being the first holographic game ever! The gameplay consisted of quick time event's as many other FMV games from its time.
To reflect the original game, the look of the stage would be almost completely black save for outlines of the stage and four three-dimensional shapes in the background.
The stage's layout would be similar to that of The Forest Floor from Rivals of Aether - basically a long base platform with four soft platforms arranged above it. Sometimes the screen will flash a bit, and background elements will appear or be swapped out (such as the aforementioned shapes, cacti from Western times, castles from Medieval times, neon signs from near-future times, and strange metal infrastructure from future times). With hazards on, enemies corresponding to the current time period will appear on the left or right of grounded fighters and do a quick, powerful attack - you'll have to be on your toes for sure!

Job 228: The Lodge (Sega Bass Fishing)

The-Lodge.png

Set in an idyllic lakeside get away, this stage really is the perfect place to get away from it all.

The skies are blue, the lake is calm, the fish are biting and the Sega All-stars are fighting.

This stage has the combatants using the piers and fishing boats as platforms, with a large water hazard in taking up most the room.
Don't worry though, even if you fall into the water it'll take a few moments before you start to sink and drown allowing you to jump back out to safety.
Yes, even Sonic won't immedietly drown here.

The Sega Bass Fishermen will ride around the lake before settling on a place to fish from, allowing you to board their boats whilst they reel in their catches.

Be warned though! Some of these bass can get pretty big, and they occasionally panic and leap out the water. If you should be unlucky enough to get slapped by a giant bass leaping out the water whilst airborne you'll get a surprisingly large knockback.

One last feature of this stage is sometimes the Sega Bass Fisherman will hook a Seaman... this essentially can allow you to obtain a free item to FISH SLAP your opponent into next week!

Job #228: Railline Shootout (Virtua Cop 2)
20221028_205642.jpg

The third and final stage in Virtua Cop 2, where the cops enter a subway to get to the villain's headquarters. I think a subway/train station stage would be an excellent add in terms of variety and whatnot, so this is my pick. Plus, I'm not exactly itching for VC to get a character, so it'd be neat to at least give it a stage. We do already have the assist at least though

The stage will start off with the characters fighting in the underground train station. After a while, the subway train will come in, a warning sign pops up telling the fighters to jump on top, and you are now fighting on top of a speeding subway train!

Not only do they get to fight inside the tunnel, but eventually, the train will enter the outdoors:
20221028_205727.jpg

This is where a stage hazard comes in, as a helicopter being piloted by criminals flies onto the scene and attempts to shoot down the fighters. The train goes back to a tunnel and into the station, the characters are fighting on the station again, until another train comes in and the whole cycle repeats.

Alright, a couple hours have passed, so now it is time for the results. Our final Season 1 stage will be the Super Locomotive!!!

This does mean the series is disconfirmed for DLC so uhhhhhhh sorry if you wanted a playable train I guess.

You can now submit a tracklist for the Super Locomotive. Moving onto our next job:

Job #229: Submit an assist from a misc. SEGA property

Time to finish up the Season 1 assists by adding another misc. assist. So you just have to submit an assist from a SEGA IP that isn't represented in our fighter roster. Keep in mind that whichever assist wins will take their respective series out of the running for DLC.

Pengo (Pengo - 1982)
1667202484792.png
Pengo is an eponymous protagonist of Pengo arcade game and he is a tiny penguin who wants to defeat Snobees by pushing the ice blocks that stand on his way.
Pengo's game was one of successful arcade games of early 1980's and it even spawned clones of the game (it even got a sequel on Mega Drive in Japan called "Pepenga Pengo"). Heck, it even inspired the Bomberman video game series.

When summoned, he would walk on screen at any direction and he could spawn ice blocks on the stage that he could push at opponents (Fighters can also pick up or push the ice blocks at each other). The ice block deal medium damage.
He could also make any stage slippery when he's summoned as assist.

If the opponent damages him, he would leave the stage early (meaning that he could be KO'ed).

Heck yeah! With some examples from my submission post:
  1. Rydeen (Super Locomotive) - This is obviously going to return from a Space Harrier stage from the base game.
  2. Rydeen (YMO) - The original 1979 version from the Japanese band, Yellow Magic Orchestra itself for their Solid State Survivor album. Listen to that old, pioneering synthpop/electronic music. A officially licensed track, like Mexican Flyer (Space Channel 5), Fly to the Moon (Bayonetta) and some Samba de Amigo songs.
  3. Ryzeen - This track was used as the replacement for the version/port in a recently released SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis Mini 2 console.
  4. Ryzeen (OMY) - The original version which was composed by Oriental Magic Yellow (a knock-off band consisting of various Namco staff) as a parody for YMO's Rydeen.
  5. Popcorn (Pengo) - Another 1982 classic released for the arcades back from SEGA's early roots before Yu Suzuki's Super Scaler games, the track was included alongside the first song in SEGA's 60th anniversary album. Damn, I've been listening to this for a few weeks in my workplace taxi's radio.
    • Much like Mushroomy Kingdom stage and Street Fighter II music in Smash, when a time is about to end, the song will go faster.
  6. Bank Panic Medley - One of the last early arcades games developed by SEGA in 1984. Also has a Western theme on it (given how prominent grasslands and locomotives were in Wild West-related stories).
  7. Sanrin San-Chan/Spatter Medley - A 1984 arcade game, which was also ported for SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis Mini 2 by M2, originally planned for SEGA Ages on Nintendo 3DS.
    • The name depends on language (Japanese/international respectively).
  8. Quechau Civilization (Rail Chase)
  9. Opening/You Can Dance (Rail Chase 2)
  10. Leaving for Adventure (Magical Truck Adventure) - An on-the-rails action game developed for the Model 3 hardware in 1998, which focuses on Roy and Alma chasing after the villains in a magical railroad truck (with some engines in the background resembling certain book/TV show characters).
  11. Sunset Park Zone (Act 3) (Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble)
  12. Mirage Saloon Zone (Sonic Mania)
  13. Deep Breath (Persona 3) - Given that you face against Arcana Priestess, the game's first boss, inside a monorail train.
  14. Scream Train (The House of the Dead: Overkill) - The game's fourth level (sixth in Extended Cut), which focuses on Agent G and Isaac Washington chasing Papa Caesar, a crime lord, on his eponymous train.
  15. Galcian's Theme (Skies of Arcadia) - Galcian himself faces Vyse and Aika while they board the train in Valua for the first time.
  16. Railline Shootout (Virtua Cop 2) - Perhaps this track could make up for it's loss in this stage job, unless the titular cops win a future fighter prompt or something.
Maybe I'll try to come up with another tracklist for Siege (Total War stage), as there hasn't been any words about a job regarding it, but I'll go to sleep now. If not (which may be likely my choice; probably same for Football Manager/Zheng Jiang movesets, very honest reminders besides updating the opening post with Festival de Amigo's own), people are open to do so instead.

Also, a re-submission for the assist job from way back.

Job #229: Misc. Arcade Assist - Spike (SpikeOut)
normal.png

SpikeOut is a 3D beat-em up by Amusement Vision directed by Nagoshi. Defeat all enemies and bosses to proceed to the next. SpikeOut has multiple games in the series including spin off called SlashOut(involving swords instead of fist and takes place in a more fantasy like setting). Spike will charge his attacks and combo you into oblivion like in his game, make sure to not be caught in that. Spike carries his son Spike Jr on his back, if you manage to hit Spike hard enough, Spike Jr will fall off his back and he will also start throwing hands(although very weak ones).

Ash (Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit)

From the platfomer game put out by Sega. Ash will run around the stage, his sawblade will ram into anyone he touches, grinding them and dealing damage. He can rack up damage, chasing down the opponent. The more damage he deals, the higher he'll send them after he's done. He'll be making quips the whole time.

Job #229: Alien Busters (Alien Storm)
20221031_215334.jpg

Alien Storm was a beat-em-up released by SEGA R&D1 for the arcades in 1990. The game involves an alien invasion of Earth, which is fought against by a special forces trio known as the "Alien Busters" - Gordon, Carla and Scooter. You may recall I submitted Scooter as a training dummy all the way back, but I do also think the trio could make for good assists. Alien Storm is a really nice and cool game that I think would be a fun one to give the nod to.

This assist somewhat works in three parts. First things first, Gordon comes in, blasting opponents with his lightning gun and rocket launcher. Afterwards, Carla comes in and attacks them with her flamethrower. Lastly, Scooter joins in to beat them with his electric whip and the various firearms hidden in his body. He then finishes it off by performing his special move for the original game, where his body explodes, leaving only his head. After a replacement body places the head back on, Gordon and Carla come back and the trio does the lil' pose from the game's ending (as seen above), at which point all three vanish. The assist's relatively long duration means it's one of the assists with the longest cooldown period.

Job 229: Kaito Gōshō (Hero Bank)

Kaito-Gosho.png

Kaito is an elementary schooler who accidentally finds himself in a massive debt to the tune of 10 billion Yen after signing a contract from a mercenary monk to obtain a battle suit known as Enter the Gold.

When summoned this pint sized power house will begin to attack opponents if close, dealing decent damage.

If far away from an opponent however, he will begin to grand stand, riling up the audience and increasing his donations and funds in doing so. Kaito has a money meter, and his strongest moves cost serious capital to unleash so getting the audience on his side is crucial to unleashing his most devastating attacks, with the meter at max allowing for a one hit KO on almost anyone!

The summoner can also taunt to bolster the money meter, increasing Kaito's power dramatically. If you're not in immediete danger it might not be a bad idea to taunt to power Kaito up and keep the pressure on your opponents!

For those opposing Kaito, you'll want to attack him when he's mid taunt, as much like the fighters he has a stamina meter of his own, and the more he's attacked the shorter his lifespan will be on the stage. If his money meter is maxed out however, you'll want to keep your distance as Kaito is a close combat specialist, and a single fully funded punch will knock you out!

Resubmitting Samrai

Samurai (7th Dragon)

7th Dragon is an obscure JRPG owned by SEGA, The Samurai is the most consistent class throughout the franchise.

As an assist they would go around the stage and use many sword slices utilizing all 4 of their fighting styles and they even have a counter. If you are unlucky enough to get combo'd by Samurai you will take incredible damage.
