Almost one month has passed since release. In retrospect....

  • This is by far the best Smash ever. Like, I don't even know how they will top this.

  • Pretty freakin' good; I have a few qualms over things like internet play, balancing issues, etc.

  • It's ok, but [insert Smash game here] is better.

  • I'd rather play Parcheesi.

Hey, fellow Smash dorks! Here's a question for all of ya! Has anyone figured out what the flaming ruins stage in the new overview video is supposed to be at around 1 minute?? Looks like Spear Pillar, but on fire. Doesn't look like any other stage from what I can tell!

Thinking a character would make an acceptable cut ≠ "bitter and spiteful"
There are people I'd cut in a heartbeat to craft a more balanced roster

I don't get the point of turning established characters into echos

They've already got the resources, movesets, frame data and everything from previous installments

Also turning Dr. Mario into a costume would upset more people than it would make people happy

Because it saves development time and I guess people would rather have them playable than a faithful assist.

it's a terrible idea

i like the idea of cutting everyone (NOBODY IS HERE!) more than turning these characters that are intentionally made to be even more different than who they were originally based on this go around into echos. Unironically.

sounds really lame tbh

I mean, balance is subjective. That's why you have so many people saying Fire Emblem only needs two characters but Star Fox is fine with three and there's nothing weird about Mother having as many fighters as Animal Crossing.

I hate this unusable JET on the classic mario so yes I need my dr. mario

Development time?

No denying there is more development time but I doubt that it's much more than just building onto the previous game

It's not like a character's moveset is made from scratch

Amen, bro. Cutting characters is a lose-lose situation; not only is there less content in general, people also lose their mains.

In other words, remember that one dude that gets banned from here constantly because he's whining about Planty and other such factors?
