If we are being serious, I'd love to see Katsura Hoshino making a manga adaptation for Twilight Princess.

I guess any 1st party character people aren't considering. Granted the 1st/2nd party series already in Smash Bros already have their most prominent/popular characters represented barring a few. Or maybe they'll be a series revival for a dormant franchise that'll get a DLC character to market it's return?

Twilight Princess Link actually has a backstory and it's super convoluted in the adaptation. Also King Bulbin is just now super philosophical and ****.

The Twilight Princess manga is ****ing great.

Easily the best Zelda manga. Partially because they didn't try to cram the whole thing into a single book. Partially because the characters have actual character. Partially because the art is fantastic. Partially because it's geared more toward adult readers than children.

I feel like if that was going to happen, it'd happen in the base game like Pit.

Well I mean it's not even a likely scenario (and more me just wishful thinking) but if it did happen, it'd be to market the return of a dormant franchise. And since the Base Roster was decided on in late-2015/early-2016, there would have never been an opportunity for that to happen. So naturally, DLC would be the way to go.
