Every time I see a complaint about something in this game in terms of balance, I don’t want to say, “Git gud” as tempting as that is, but I will say that it’s a lot like Chess.
If you see what your opponent is doing, you have to react or continue to be beaten. For example, Little Mac. In order to do damage, Little Mac has to be in your face. Knowing this, you should wait for him to approach, and counter what they do.
For K.Rool, he’s got a good down smash, projectiles, etc. He’s got more for you to deal with, but it’s not impossible. You basically have to know when to go in for an attack and when to back off...that’s really it. Try not to be too close at high percentages either...his grab game is fierce.
It’s much more satisfying to analyze what you did wrong, try again, and then succeed, rather than blame the game for your bad play. There are games I know I should have won, but lost because I didn’t adapt my game or lost a stock lead.
That’s honestly why I prefer buffs to characters rather than nerfs to the characters people get salty at. Sure, K.Rool nerfs would fix the “problem” of K.Rool, but it doesn’t help other characters be better.
For now, I think the roster is pretty well balanced. Jr. could use some work though.
