*Says sales don't matter*Well, then let's wait 20 more years to compare MC sales to whatever will be the "sold better than MC" game.
*Makes statement basically saying that sales matter*

I miss Wendy's.Have you never eaten at her place before...
AND give him Wii Fit Trainer treatment and show his eyes uncomfortably close in his arcade ending. If Steve gets in, Sakurai better do what he did with and give him an unnecessary close up on his face while he stares lifelessly at us for a victory animation.
You mean this ?I honestly thought you were talking about a different Wendy’s.
that is a weird thing to be lackingMy local Wendy's all don't give honey for some reason anymore. Which is sad since I loved dipping their fries and nuggets in honey when I ate there
and that’s why the internet ages everybody up most of the time (though newer Wendy is already older thanks to the modern era of the company)also horrible mistreatment of livestock and supporting artists who draw porn of their mascot based off of a very underaged girl but heyyyyyy they got funny tweets haha
well dam that’s a lot of driving for a Wendy’sI miss Wendy's.
Where I live now, I need to drive past three McDonald's, a Burger King, two Five Guys, a Popeyes, a Mod Pizza, two Taco Bells, a Taco Time, three fantastic sushi joints, a Mike's Drive-In, a Charley's, the mall food court and my cousin's Mexican restaurant where half the time they don't make me pay, just to get to the nearest Wendy's.
I don't think I've had a JBC in over a year.
AND give him Wii Fit Trainer treatment and show his eyes uncomfortably close in his arcade ending.
Add a Creeper AT too, while we're at it. Or make them the most annoying stage element in the game.AND give him Wii Fit Trainer treatment and show his eyes uncomfortably close in his arcade ending.
Right??well dam that’s a lot of driving for a Wendy’s
Tetris competition against lack of interest is a far harder than fighting for a spot in an established light. So, just to give my two cents in response.
Saying that Tetris got people interested in gaming as a contrast to Minecraft, as if Minecraft didn't do the exact same thing for another generation, is disingenuous. Further, while you're absolutely right that Minecraft was sold in an era where far more people had access to and interest in video games, you forego two very important facts that counter that point: 1) It has significantly more competition for the spotlight than Tetris did in 1984, and 2) it still outsold all of said competition. By an incredibly large margin.
While sales don't necessarily indicate how good a game is, they do indicate its popularity and, in combination with pop culture presence and overall staying power, can be used to judge its cultural influence. Minecraft has nine times the active player base per month right now, ten years post-release, than the total amount of The Legend of Zelda games sold all time. Microsoft purchased the rights to Minecraft for more money than Disney bought Star Wars. Minecraft has its very own international convention. Just for Minecraft. By itself.
If none of this "proves establishment", I have no idea what possibly could.
Signed,
Someone Who Has Never Had Interest In Playing Minecraft
Yeah. Had it for a while and just one day they didn't have them them anymore and the worker there made it seem like they weren't allowed to give out honey specifically anymore. Like all the other dipping sauces are fine still but just no honey. Wonder if there is something going on between the local ones and the place they usually get the honey from or something. You mean this ?
that is a weird thing to be lacking

HA HA HAAAAAAAA WHATFortnite has about eleven times the growth of MC
But Cla! Fortnite has 11 time the grow of *checks notes* a game that hugely impacted the industry caused pretty much every other game afterwards to try and cash in with crafting mechanics because they wanted a piece of that pie for the last decade with Fortnite being one of the many examples to try thisHA HA HAAAAAAAA WHAT
Were you alive for the past 10 years?
So, you pick and choose what you want to reply to, and that's fine. I think the thread has already made up its mind on this topic based on... well. Evidence. But.Tetris competition against lack of interest is a far harder than fighting for a spot in an established light.
I wasn't questioning popularity.. and so, Fortnite has about eleven times the growth of MC. As you say, says nothing about how good a game is.
Yet I wasn't talking sales establishment.
So, would you mind sharing your source for Fortnite's overwhelming growth in comparison to Minecraft? (While also ignoring the fact that Fortnite has the financial muscle of Epic Games behind it, thus belittling your earlier point about Minecraft's corporate checkbook or whatever.)From Youtube's gaming content director said:“Fortnite has certainly been a massive contributor to the growth on gaming [but] Minecraft is still our biggest game globally,” Wyatt says. “Fortnite has not taken off in every single market.”
Oh! Thank you small European Power Ranger girl, I see things much differently now!But Cla! **** you I'm not small. Say that again and I'll bite your anklesOh! Thank you small European Power Ranger girl, I see things much differently now!
So what pick? Didn't I reply to you?So, you pick and choose what you want to reply to, and that's fine. I think the thread has already made up its mind on this topic based on... well. Evidence. But.
I tried to find some sort of source for your "about eleven times the growth of MC" statement and so far haven't found anything remotely close to that statement. I did, however, find this from three months ago.

I saw "haunted ship" and immediately thought of the one from Super Metroid which also spooked the **** out of me.Blo my god, that haunted ship. I remeber getting spooked by it on the wii, then I got to it on switch and was spooked x10
did you post a source on Fortnite having 125 million active players? So what pick? Didn't I reply to you?
MC: 10 yrs, 90 Mil.. FN: 1 yr, 125 Mil. That's 9:125... 13.888.. well +3 then
What is wrong with Minecraft being popular to this day?So what pick? Didn't I reply to you?
MC: 10 yrs, 90 Mil.. FN: 1 yr, 125 Mil. That's 9:125... 13.888.. well +2 then

why people like things i no like???What is wrong with Minecraft being popular to this day?
You can dislike some of the fan-content online, but the game itself is actually solid and neat.
Did I say such a thing? What is wrong with Minecraft being popular to this day?
You can dislike some of the fan-content online, but the game itself is actually solid and neat.
Uh. Where are you getting 125mil? Minecraft still has 13million more active users per month than Fortnite as of three months ago.So what pick? Didn't I reply to you?
MC: 10 yrs, 90 Mil.. FN: 1 yr, 125 Mil. That's 9:125... 13.888.. well +3 then
It's the same reason why people don't like Fortnite. They just don't.What is wrong with Minecraft being popular to this day?
You can dislike some of the fan-content online, but the game itself is actually solid and neat.
With the Fortnite stuff, it seems like you don’t like its popularity.Did I say such a thing?
There is also the point that Fortnite is free to play. The fact that minecraft, which is a game you must pay for, still averages equal or more players than Fortnite only goes to show that Minecraft's impact and growth is much much bigger than any game in the last 10 yearsUh. Where are you getting 125mil? Minecraft still has 13million more active users per month than Fortnite as of three months ago.
And how are you applying ten years to a monthly headcount of users? Normally user counts decline over time for online videogames, just as PUBG (Fortnite without Epic's budget) did. Minecraft is one of the only games ever to buck that trend. Using that against it, somehow, is just misconstruing the numbers to reflect a point you want to make.
i think he's mistaking 125 million accounts for 125 million active usersUh. Where are you getting 125mil? Minecraft still has 13million more active users per month than Fortnite as of three months ago.

I have memories about a free version of Minecraft that me and my cousins played, doh. There is also the point that Fortnite is free to play. People whenever I say Banjo is boring in comparison to what else Microsoft would be able to offer. No joke, somehow tried to shame me for saying that lmaoobligatory
I wasn't talking monthly active players count. You went for that.Uh. Where are you getting 125mil? Minecraft still has 13million more active users per month than Fortnite as of three months ago.

You're better than assumptions. With the Fortnite stuff, it seems like you don’t like its popularity.
smash cross appearsPeople whenever I say Banjo is boring in comparison to what else Microsoft would be able to offer. No joke, somehow tried to shame me for saying that lmao
Well you aren't wrong. Microsoft most likely wouldn't be able to recreate what many people enjoyed in Banjo Kazooie anyway.People whenever I say Banjo is boring in comparison to what else Microsoft would be able to offer. No joke, somehow tried to shame me for saying that lmao
I feel this on a personal level.obligatory
No.I have memories about a free version of Minecraft that me and my cousins played, doh.
Maybe it was a limited-time offer.
Thanks for the clarification.No.
That was more of a demo like deal where you played on a severely gimped version of a very early release of minecraft.
Minecraft's something that you always paid for since the beginning.
