Tbf, that’s the only character I absolutely have beef with.

1. I have a huge bias against mobile games in general.
2. I feel that people want her just because of her looks rather than her potential moveset.

Imagine if it’s the last character revealed. We’ve gotten 4 before. We think Steve is the last one. Then we see Banjo. We’re confused. And then our answer is that Banjo is the first character in Fighter Pass 2

as cool as this would be, you know people would get mad that they were 'suckered' into buying fighter's pass 1 (read: they weren't) when the character they actually wanted was part of a new, unrevealed one that costs just the same

I feel Banjo fans and Steve fans definitely symbolize the differences in generations:

Banjo fans want him largely because of the nostalgia and fondness they have for him from their childhood from the N64 era.

Steve's fans want him because they have nostalgia and fondness for him from their childhood.

Basically: These things are entirely filled with bias and every argument about Banjo VS. Steve is pointless whenever it boils down to you trying to change someone's mind. Neither of them are "right" or "wrong" to want or like, it's up to the individual and what they like. I'm gonna be honest here: I don't care about Banjo all that much. He'd be neat, but I would not jump out of my seat for him. I didn't grow up with those games, and so far, Nuts and Bolts was the only one I've played, so I don't have too much of an attachment. Steve, however? I played Minecraft back in it's earlier days, and play it even to this day. So yeah, not at all a popular opinion here, but I would truly feel more excited for Steve than I would Banjo. Does that make Steve better? Heck no, it's just my own taste and wants. I have no issue with people not wanting Steve, and I know full well what the reaction here will be if it happens, but I also think it's good to remain polite when discussing this stuff. Not saying any of this is going on per se, but these types of debates tend to get heated and that genuinely makes me sad. I really wish Steve didn't cause so much strife within this community.

Is it nostalgia if I only played Banjo for the first time a few years ago? And I’m almost 20. I even played Minecraft FIRST. I just like Banjo way more.

Really, the only songs that you need to represent Monster Hunter are "Proof of a Hero" and Rathalos' Theme, they're pretty much the two most universally known songs globally. I don't really think Monster Hunter is remembered for the music, rather it's gameplay itself.

Monster Hunter music is the best. And I can certainly name more than 23 tracks that should get in.

Not at all. I’m talking about variety in weaponry. If you think about it, all the weapons in Smash so far are swords, bow and arrows, guns, and explosives and there is variety in how you can use them sure but it wouldn’t hurt to throw in an axe, a staff, or a spear.

I knew that already. People still need to listen to Monster Hunter's music in general. Castlevania got awesome treatment when it comes to music. Monster Hunter is another one of those where it's perfectly acceptable to want a rep for the music, cause the music is just that awesome.

tbh if we have to have another FE(-esque) character, I'd much prefer a spear-wielder over swords or axes - sort of like Marth pushed to the extreme, where close combat outside of throws is Little Mac aerial-tier but you can dish out some serious damage so long as you keep them at the right distance, kind of like the Belmonts or elements of Corrin

don't know who it'd be, though - maybe Ephraim if the vague rumours of an Echoes Sacred Stones game are true, but otherwise I'm drawing blanks

Almost one month has passed since release. In retrospect....

This is by far the best Smash ever. Like, I don't even know how they will top this.

Pretty freakin' good; I have a few qualms over things like internet play, balancing issues, etc.

It's ok, but [insert Smash game here] is better.

I'd rather play Parcheesi.
