Prior to Smash Cloud had never been licensed out to a non-Square Enix developed game. There's a precedent for this.

They WERE gonna put Cloud in Soul Calibur II but pulled out at the last minute. Don't know if this proves or disproves your point. Kind of does a little of both.

They DID put Noctis in Tekken though, so unless they care more about Cloud than Noctis IDK what's going on.

Naturally, this can be very difficult to do. The replay I saved of Mewtwo's Guidance had like a full minute of me trying to get the Guidance to trigger.

The additional point doesn't really add anything at all.

And the Noctis point is moot because Cloud was the first instance of his character (or any Final Fantasy character if I recall correctly) being licensed out to another company. He set the precedent, which is what I'm saying could occur with Dragon Quest.

just finished WoL, god that final boss fight was terrifying yet epic

Didnt even lose a stock (thank you celebi autoheal) until I killed Galeem and Darkhon went ****ing ham and killed my Chrom and my Shulk so my boy Marth had to come through

Also, anyone else feel like Galeem and Darkhon's Spirits kinda blow? Like zero slots and extra damage taken and the special effects don't even work in Spirit Board. Kinda disappointed tbh

As said, Ehrgeiz. The Playstation Version was published by Square, yes. But the original Arcade version was published by Namco and did have Cloud and Tifa present in it. Sephiroth, Zack, Yuffie and Vincent were added to the Playstation version.

Y'know this "Personality" thing that some fanbases see in characters is kind of one-dimensional, I mean in some fanbases, if a personality that seems either explosive, flashy, bright, or overall just obvious, is shown, it's seen with grace, but if a personality is cold, calm, level-headed, deep-thinker and such, people jump the shark by saying that that character has "No personality" (Like when people claim Makoto from Persona 5 has no personality just because she was popular (Which might be debatable idk)) which makes me wonder if they actually know how personality/Multi-dimensional characters even work.

I'd wager most Japanese fans consider Loto/Erdrick the main Hero of the series due to just how beloved DQ3 is as a game. It's like why Megaman 2 is still considered the pinnacle of the series over in Japan.
