Official Smash Ultimate Discussion

Almost one month has passed since release. In retrospect....

  • This is by far the best Smash ever. Like, I don't even know how they will top this.

  • Pretty freakin' good; I have a few qualms over things like internet play, balancing issues, etc.

  • It's ok, but [insert Smash game here] is better.

  • I'd rather play Parcheesi.

Get any of those in Smash and it would be truly shocking. However, I think a Valve character is the most unlikely of pipedreams ever from a video game perspective.

Roy is pretty good in this game, ZeRo thinks Roy/Chrom might be the best swordsman in the game with those godlike aerials and broken fsmash.

It's not just ZeRo, look at any top players current tier lists (yeah yeah I know it's only been a couple days but it still means something) and Roy/Chrom or at least just Roy is always pretty high. Top players think he's got some good **** in his kit

I was bracing for mediocre advertisements and instead got a most-wanted I'd refused to even consider the possibility of. I won't blink if they add Pepsi-Man now.

I still expect one throw-away character from a 2019 release title but it was weird how everyone was acting like we'd only get promotional characters.

Probably Gunvolt, or maybe A Level-5 Rep (Jibanyan/Professor Layton).

Nintendo basically owns Monolith Soft, don't they?
And I really wouldn't call him a major gaming icon on the levels of characters like Mario, Sonic, Pikachu, and PAC-MAN...

As far as I'm concerned, he still is.

The issue is that Master Chief has never appeared on a Nintendo console.

There was that one Demo leaked online years ago, but that was a project that never gained any ground and was literally just a proof-of-concept.
