It's still horrific and Played For Drama though. Also, the pornographic elements in the original Fate novel are done away with in later adaptions. In fact, the sex is largely unimportant in the grand scheme of things, since Type-Moon stuff tends to be 95% story. Seriously, their content isn't your average everyday eroge. DC Comics incorporates porn here and there, albeit censored where it matters, and yet it has a place for an audience of all ages. Besides, it's not like there aren't Nintendo characters who haven't experienced a sexual phenomena either (at least off-screen). How else was Ike born into the world? A magic stork dragon?

In all seriousness though, if Sakurai ever stands up and personally denies Saber in an interview because of her origin, that would be a bummer considering all the other content that dances past the radar.

I got ****ing squidbagged by an Inkling level 9 last night, they're so wack. I love how improved they are though, I can actually practice against them to improve my skills as they don't just read inputs and get perfect airdodges all the time BUT they're actually smart at punishing mistakes and they try to approach you this time

20XX CPU’s for melee are something else tho they just spam tas level perfect tech and they don’t approach they will just stall for as long as you don’t approach them and then they will 0- death you

(Quick little side-note: I added a bit more meat to my original comment if you'd like to see what else I've added)

Personally, there is no issue with Saber. For a character who gets put down for her origin, she's one of the more modest character designs out there, and has plenty of combat experience. Fighting games have made her work in the past, and there's a sense of excitement in wanting her alongside other Smash characters like Link and Cloud. Look up art of her with Link. There's a decent amount out there and it's pretty cool, as all crossover art is due to the charm behind it. Joker is already getting content with the other characters too and it makes me giddy seeing him chill out with them.

People need to stop acting like puritans about their "precious Smash not being tainted by eroge games".
Unlike what most of you seem to think, porn isn't something condemned by mature adults. A series isn't going to be seen as less just because there are canon ******* out there, ESPECIALLY in Japan where many artists, including those working at hgh-profile games, make a living out of doujinshis.

Besides, FSN's eroge content has been so disconnected from the actual franchise since its inception that current games get a T from the ESRB, so it's not like that even needs to be anywhere near the game.

There are content warnings for a reason, future rereleases also completely cut out the badly-written porn and replaced them with MANA TRANSFER DRAGON. We have other M rated characters in Smash too, but no one is worried a kid will get into Persona or Metal Gear because of it.

Its World of Light, you fight Mr. Sandman (DK) but you can use any character. You aren't forced to use Little Mac. Either that or the devs could have moved that one fight if its on DK Isle so, you know, you aren't forced to tie DK there. This is more concern than the makers had over this.

I'm not calling it racist necessarily, but I'm not lying when I saw that my very first thought was "huh...black guy gets the ape...huh".

Atlus is close to Nintendo. Persona is their most popular series. Joker is the most recemt protagonist.

I'm such a cheater lol

I was fighting my friend. I was K Rool (who's recovery is amazing) and he was Simon (who's recovery is mediocre), we were on Super Happy Tree.
Now, my friend is really good. I can barely win against him unless I get crafty, so that's exactly what I did.

I flew over to one of the clouds that disappear after you stand on them, and I waited for him to come to me. Every time he did I would fly back to the main stage while the clouds disappeared from under his feet and he plummeted to his doom. Rinse and repeat until the the announcer declares KING K ROOL WINS!

It's one of my prouder moments.
