I'm glad honestly.
P5 like all Atlus games is a story that had a definite beginning and end.
No reason to extend a story beyond what's necessary.

Plus like...
We are getting more P5.

Expect this series to get milked to the next decade until P6 comes out.

My new prediction for the DLC is:

Lloyd/Tales Character
Square Enix Character
Ryu Hayabusa
Dante

Lloyd: Joker's reveal means that the 3rd restrictions are much lower here now. There's no Tales references at all with Pac-Man. And Sakurai spoke in high regard with him. Insiders did hear him and Yuri(they didn't say he would be revealed at the TGAs).

Square Enix: I think with every company except Namco getting a new character base or DLC. I think Namco and Square will get a rep. Vergeben's source also said that there would be a rep. He himself(I think) thought that the 1st character would be the SE rep, not his source.

Ryu Hayabusa: A darkhorse character from the NES era. He fits in with Joker as being an unexpected but popular character. Koei Tecmo also has a good relationship with Nintendo.

Dante: Another Darkhorse character. With the vast amount of Capcom content in the game. I wouldn't be surprised that Capcom would get a 3rd character. Dante is the prime candidate here. If not him then Monster Hunter.

Another Nintendo Direct could be any time for January and February. But Smash info for Piranha Plant would be before Joker, who'd probably have info in March and release April/May if I had to guess, but eh, could be sooner or later than that.

My guess is:
Direct sometime in January-February
They show off a gameplay trailer for Joker and add him to the website, coming in may
And they end the direct with some other DLC character. Maybe a first-party, maybe another surprise third-party

As much as I love Lloyd I don't see him happening at this point and Reggie said the characters were gonna be unexpecting which Lloyd doesn't exactly fit.

Who knows what unexpected means at this point. You could probabky twist any character into being ‘unexpected’.

But why since we know what he looks like outside of Smash. I feel a reveal is more then enough to have one made now. Then again I never played Persona and maybe he appears in different clothing throughout the series.

So I just gotta say I love have Classic Mode was handled in this game. I'm so addicted to it right now. I'm always wanting to try out a character to see how they've changed, but also to see how there theme was handled while doing so. Then afterwards you always get a chance to unlock another character, so you'll have someone else to try out. There's also that after getting KOed, you can get back right into the action so fast that it doesn't screw up your state of flow at all. Unlocking characters doesn't feel like a chore at all for me.

I'm not as fond of World of Light though. I didn't expect character unlocks to be spread so far apart in that mode. I'm also wasn't crazy about customization in Smash 4 and am not as crazy about spirits here. I do like collecting them and seeing their spirit battles, but I don't really enjoy using the ones that effect gameplay too much.

As a giant Sonic fan, the Metal Sonic Spirit fight is one of my favorites so far. What a great battle. They really go the extra mile in some of these. So clever.

Oh thank God it's not just me. It took me two hours to get past the menu because I was crying, I spent the entire morning listening to the music and watching the trailer and posting, I've been hanging out in the discord all day at work and the threads, and I STILL get choked up every time it hits me that Joker is in Smash.

The noises that came out of my mouth when he turned that letter around, man...

I'd probably imagine that they will unveil Joker's gameplay within the next Nintendo Direct.

More so that Nintendo put him on the list, and Sakurai chose him. How much you wanna bet everyone's gonna look into Sakurai's twitter history and look at the games he's played and see who else could be in.

Piranha Plant is a bonus outside of the Challenger Pack. I don't think he comes with a stage like the other 5 do.

Persona 5 is one of the games that revitalized the JRPG market in America. That's pretty game changing if you ask me.

Ballot 3.0 actually. Brawl had one too and Sonic, Dedede and Mega Man were essentially the Pillar Men of it. Two got in Brawl and Mega Man was the one of the first ones in Smash 4.

Once again, if we get another Ballot, I'm shilling for Mega Man X.
