Almost one month has passed since release. In retrospect....

  • This is by far the best Smash ever. Like, I don't even know how they will top this.

  • Pretty freakin' good; I have a few qualms over things like internet play, balancing issues, etc.

  • It's ok, but [insert Smash game here] is better.

  • I'd rather play Parcheesi.

Answer me this; has any one of your sources heard as to why they only picked 5 DLC characters. Will there be a Season 2 to DLC?

Yuri's game is being rereleased next month. I'd say he definitely fits the definition of a shill character.

I misunderstood it, but I understand it now. But was he saying that the 2014 thing only applies to that one character or all characters? I think he was saying it applies to all characters

Erdrick and Lloyd, I think so. Steve, maybe. Dante, I'm doubtful. Doomguy, I very seriously doubt it. But the only one I'd want of those is Erdrick

Panda's source kind of covered this a few days ago. Wave 2 is a giant question mark and not high priority at the moment (c'mon guys, at least let the first character of Wave 1 be announced). No official answer on 5 but I assume it's because Smash 4 had 5 original, non semi clone characters. Just seems like a good number.

Steve would be a natural sour taste to my mouth.
But I would be lying if I dint want to see Dante using stinger to move himself.
Also OG FPS is a good pick.
Erdrick is still a heavily referenced character from the franchise who popularised the console RPG market.
and Lloyds cool why not
I wouldnt complain

For the list as a whole, my main problem is that all of the characters are 3rd party. I still seriously doubt this to be the case.

Individually:

Doomguy and Dante would be cool, but I'm not expecting them.
I'll still hate Steve, but I'm still expecting him.
Erdrick is probably the most likely DQ rep, but he's nowhere near my first choice for a 2nd Square rep.
Although you all know me as the guy who wants KOS-MOS, I actually wouldn't mind Lloyd as the 2nd Namco rep.

It's a "boomer" pick that starts with L vs. a "shill" pick that starts with Y, and Fatmanonice has confirmed it's basically Lloyd vs. Yuri.

However, PolarPanda has said that this info came from a random guy who entered their discord, so it's just a rumor and not a definitive leak.

A pretty solid and varied selection. I would be a bit surprised they would pick Dante when there are other Capcom chars with bigger ties to Nintendo like Phoenix Wright and Monster Hunter. Still, overall, I think they would be cool additions.
