The Zelda series doesn't have tons of recurring characters. A lot of one offs. I guess Impa counts...

Man, I don't give a rat's ass about whether they're one-offs.
If they're popular and iconic and have great moveset potential they have more than enough to justify their Smash inclusion.

Sheik herself, is a one-off, who served as basically a walking tutorial and random plot-twist later.
You cannot tell me that without Smash, Sheik would've even scratched the surface of popularity that is Skull Kid and his stupid face moon. I mean, Majora's Mask is literally an icon, as in he's on the logo of his game.

I don't see it. Pyra isn't a fighter. Mythra is. Plus, with Torna, you're more likely to say 'make her fight by herself than with anyone.'

Recurring, maybe not, but you can't deny the popularity of characters like Midna, Skull Kid, Ghirahim, and of course Tinkle.

Zelda in all it's forms/iterations has had characters that can be considered iconic, I don't think they need to limit themselves to the recurring characters I just think Sakurai wants to

And even then Impa is not a shabby choice

Ehhhh. Spongebob's a franchise where the wacky slapstick and clever writing are what made it popular, not to mention it was made with the guy in mind. Tingle was added later to the franchise and Zelda doesn't exactly have a similar tone or focus as Spongebob

I always hated Roy in Smash but the inclusion of Chrom made me soften up on him. However, seeing Ray Chase say Fire Emblem is underrepped in Smash has made me forgive Roy's existence fully

Hmm. Ok, first, why do you need 400GB? Ain't that an overkill? especially for a Switch. Unless you're a totaly digital guy. I go physical whenever possible. Also, I play real good but not pro level, so I don't know. I always used the GC controller, works fine for me, my buds.. never felt the need for a pro one.
So, are you a digital person? are you a pro level player? By pro I mean that Elite level Sakurai talked about.
