No it's the end of the Xehanort saga, Nomura confirmed that Sora will remain the main protagonist. We are gonna get a new main antagonist though.

I know everyone has played Undertale but that would be a major spoiler (another reason why I don't think Sans is a choice).

There's mad moveset potential for that form of Asriel, sure, but it's also like...I associate that version of Asriel with, gameplay wise, choosing NOT to fight, and it would be a tad ironic for him to be in a fighting game.

Also I always cry during that boss fight and I don't wanna cry during smash

I guess the complicating factor for Undertale is that like, the whole point of the game is about the virtues of making friends with your enemies instead of fighting them. Undyne is the only character who likes fighting with her friends.
It's different than Villager and Isabelle, bc Animal Crossing isn't about why fighting is bad.

Yes, Toby knows all of Susie's story, but we haven't seen it, and would he really want to spoil a character's arc in Smash?

He combos multiple uairs to tornado and kills rather early.

Seems like hes a combination of Brawl and Smash 4 MK

Watch most of the stuff everyone's freaking out be patched on day 1 anyway lol

I’m loving seeing all of these videos. I’m super not competitive and I’m really bad at both shielding and combos, so I’ll never be able to pull any of these off, but they really look awesome.

I do hafta say though, it does seem a bit premature that every video is also accompanied by “OMG!!1!11! CHARACTER X IS BROKEN NERF PLZ WORST BALANCE EVUR!!1!1!!” The game’s not even officially out, we know there’s a day one patch, and most other enemies won’t be just standing and taking attacks without DI. I think so far, I’ve seen complaints about brokenness for at least 10 characters.

What she did isn't anything Villager couldn't do and nothing other than the Big Guys should worry about. Ridley is just walking combo food.

That said, Side B killing Ridley first is bull****, I swear if they made Ganoncide kill Ganon first I'm gonna have a personal talk with Sakurai himself.

Tbh, Ridley's side special is kinda ridiculous, unlike Flame Choke. I wouldn't mind it having that one down.

They'd put Fire Emblem above Metroid because it's more popular in Japan than Metroid. Japan loves their anime and anime-style games, and FE has that anime look to it, whereas Metroid does not

oversimplification.
japan isnt the west. heroes with guns have never taken off there. Every generation FPS games have been dead there and guns and gun based violence have never been big in media there. japan has favored fantasy and sword weapons for a years now. its just whats popular. japan loves anime is an obvious statement thats like saying America loves their American cartoons and comic books.

from i've seen from mk and Isabelle in this thread this game is gonna be awesome. combos dont scare me a boring game scares me. people say the like combos. but at the same time want this stuff nerfed already. this is cool. makes me even more interested in the game.

also: dont take some of these top players word as gospel. could've sworn zero and nairo said the kb changes meant combos were dead.

Ganonocide and bowserside kill them second now (Ganon and Bowser)..the difference is you can break out of them. Im pretty sure Ridley's is the same, but ive seen both Ganon and Bowser win matches this way, with the downside being you can break out of it pretty easy at low percents

I think that waluigi can be an interesting moveset, but obviously not only needs to ditch the "novelty" factor, but also needs to seriously to ditche the "he can represent mario sports games" status.

Let him be Weird, and aWkward, like with capital W.
