Fingers crossed for Crono but I can't deny that Sephiroth being in Smash with One Winged Angel would be ABSOLUTELY SICK

Honestly, if it's not Geno (and I still think he's in the running, fight me) I'd want it to be Crono or Erdrick. It's another of those east vs. west debates. I know Dragon Quest is hugely popular in Japan. But Crono Trigger slips onto so many best games lists over here that it's almost scary.

The worst part is that's absolutely true. The second heaviest character in the game with a ****ton of armour killing with a goddamn grab and a single other move at 38 percent WOULD be deemed acceptable cause it's not MUH RIGGED BALLOT

Really? As far as I can tell only 4 pokemon don't have any palette that even resembles their shiny (Jigglypuff, Pichu, Charizard, and Lucario)
I mean, all of these look pretty similar enough to their shinies to me

I think Geno is still in the running, based on speculation regarding the Vergeben info in the Geno thread as well as how, if it's true, what Verge was told about Sora isn't the same as what he was told about Geno.

Though Sora could still happen too tbh, afterall leaked info isn't 100%. I'm more-interested in Geno being on the list at all.

Eh, to be fair. Bayonetta does have her original costume. And Cloud design-wise and character-wise is fashioned after his classical build and persona/ behavior from FFVII as opposed to.......ick. Everything else that came after, thank god. Only thing he brings over from beyond are the threads and fusion blades, thank goodness.

This is all silly when the real DLC lineup based on missing Spirits is totally going to be Ricky Winterborn, the girl from the Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle Opening Movie, Doshin the Giant, Travis Touchdown (promotional pick), and a Style Savvy protagonist from a later game.

This list is probably the best full DLC lineup suggestion that I’ve seen yet.

Snake could be considered classic, the original metal gear came out in '87 also bayonetta is basically owned by nintendo at this point. Calling her 3rd party us kind of a stretch.

Until Sega has no ownership of her, Bayo is still sadly a 3rd party

So, for remixes, it's a little sad we didn't get any Kid Icarus remixes in Ultimate.
Not even one for Of Myths and Monsters.

Mewtwo needs more color on its tail.
Ivysaur is kinda there, just needs more strong colors on the bulb and body
Squirtle is fine
Greninjas isn't fully black

Incineroar is the only one who you look and can say that is loyal to its shiny form.
The others just are similar, not fully shiny

This is apparently all of the names Vergeben has heard:

-Luminary/DQ 11 protagonist
-Slime
-Sephiroth
-Crono
-Geno
-Sora

Supposedly he was out-right told that it wasn't Sora, and for Geno to not take him too seriously.

You can see it talked about in the last few or so pages of the Geno thread, I dunno.

I wouldn't take this statement too seriously.

That being said, while this isn't too far out of line with current speculation, it's still wrong. Geno and Slime are not the SE rep, and Sora still has a minuscule chance of happening.

We're still likely going to get Dragon Quest though, which sucks because it's a clear promotional choice to try to push the series into the West. I personally hope we get Crono though, as he has historical importance with Nintendo, and Crono Trigger is widely regarded as one of the best games of all time.

Plus, who doesn't want to see a Crono Trigger remake using the Octopath Traveler engine? I'd buy that and I don't even like JRPGs all that much.

I know some coded files were uncovered in Smash Ultimate for Snake. It appears David Hayter did do voice work for Smash Ultimate. In a tweet he just posted for a Smash Ultimate. It alludes to the fact he did do voice work for Smash Ultimate. Because it says VA for Snake Brawl & Snake Ultimate. So maybe we will get codec conversations in Smash Ultimate? Any thoughts on this, on whether Snakes codecs will be updated?

It's from the Geno thread, and this Polar Pandy person is saying it, yeah I'm not buying ****. Out of this list, I can see it being Dragon Quesst likely. Again, surprised that Lara isn't there at all but, she's never been in the conversation as far as Smash goes. Just give me Erdrick and I'll be happy, okay Square.
