I hope to get a Ridley amiibo

I plan on naming it Alien, a nice complement to Samus being named Ripley after the main character of the Alien series, a huge influence on Metroid.

Should go with Xenomorph

I will point out something I don't think anyone has ever pointed out for Spirits.

Sakurai: -paraphrasing him of course- We chose to do Spirits because they were simply much more easy to do than trophies.

But also Sakurai according to this fan rule.

Sakurai: We also deliberately chose who to make a spirit and who not to make a spirit as part of our DLC plan thus putting an extra workload and thought process on to something that was to lessen the tedium of our workload.

See, you say that, but I'd probably have a pocket Torch Man. Dude has Reppukens. Knight Man's Mace might be fun to use too.

Still would rather have a main Mega Man character. But there IS a reason fans made that Robot Master Mayhem fighting game(which still has Mega Man and Protoman in it, but whatever).

I don't think it's illogical to draw the conclusion that Sakurai made all the spirits before approving of the DLC characters. I mean we can argue about it all we want, but we truly can't know, unless I'm missing something Sakurai said once

I would love this as the actual fighter pack.
Elma and Banjo would be amazing.
Dixie would be nice to finish out the DK mainstays.
Twintelle and Doom Marine are nice bonuses.

Why do I feel like I'm gonna like this more than the actual DLC.

I've read this several times and I don't comprehend.

I think they refer to the fact that if Spirits mean no DLC, they would have to
1) Either keep a list of who isn't a Spirit and chose from that very limited list or
2) Go back and delete Spirits. Which is probably harder than it sounds. They'd have to scrub all references to the Spirit to prevent errors, adjust the possible WoL fights, etc.

I'm sorry if you have trouble with the comprehension.

Basically Sakurai chose to do these images instead of creating a lot of trophies, because it allowed him to stuff a lot more characters and what not in without having to create dedicated models for trophies and the such.

Thus it becomes a less demanding task, but to deliberately sit down and pick out among a thousand characters would thus add an extra task on top of something that was done to simplify his workload.

It's basically meaning while they were getting all these PNGS he would be stopping every few seconds to go ''Yeah no not that one we might use them later." thus making this very task take even longer than it needed to take.

Like I've said before and everyone complaining about characters on here regardless of who they are will buy the DLC regardless just to have a complete roster and if you say you won't, you're lying. Nintendo could add Mr. Belch and Glass Joe as fighters and everyone here will eat it up (myself included) regardless. I hated Wii U/3DS DLC character choices (besides Mewtwo) and still bought all the characters eventually.
