Official Smash Ultimate Discussion

Almost one month has passed since release. In retrospect....

  • This is by far the best Smash ever. Like, I don't even know how they will top this.

  • Pretty freakin' good; I have a few qualms over things like internet play, balancing issues, etc.

  • It's ok, but [insert Smash game here] is better.

  • I'd rather play Parcheesi.

The chances of Gwen’s claims being true are the same that the idea of Goku in Smash has.

I don’t see that happening, because it basically locks a character under a mode.

OH MY GOD SOMEONE BEAT WOL
MAAAAAAJOR SPOILERS
No, seriously! MAJOR ****
YOU GET TO PLAY. AS MASTER HAND IN WOL.
Are you serious or just joking?
Now I'll be even more sad if we can't play as the other bosses too, especially Ganon...

But still, that's really cool if that's true.

Okay folks, last post on the subject. Just tagging @papagenos since I know he's been following the breadcrumbs here.

1. As far as I know, Ring! Dong! Dang! still has that supposed tie to a blank stage ID. It could mean cut stage, DLC stage, or neither.

2. The Spirits images are all available now. You can click here for them but be careful, MAJOR SPOILERS.

3. One of the Spirits is named Shop Assistant, and that is the box art girl from the original Style Savvy.

4. There are three Style Savvy songs in the game - one original and one remix, both returning from Smash 4, that appeared in Style Savvy Trendsetters for 3DS, and one new one from Style Savvy: Shining Star (the aforementioned Ring! Dong! Dang!)

5. Despite that, the only Style Savvy spirit is the shop assistant. No characters from Trendsetters, Fashion Forward, or Shining Star appear.

In the end, I don't really think the stage data thing means much. This seems to be the end for those hoping for Style Savvy rep, but hey, we got a Spirit and three songs, so that's cool! And if you've enjoyed following my adventure, hit up the Style Savvy thread (which has been enjoying a nice boost in popularity recently.)

And on a fun side note for me, I called it!

Ryota Hayami represents Wave Race while Akari Hayami represents 1080 Snowboarding. Super cool. I'm gonna go try and find a copy of 1080 Avalanche to celebrate.
Wow, these are amazing Spirits! I’m surprise to see many characters in series that haven’t been around forever. I won’t name them since it’s spoilers but it’s great to see Nintendo having underrated or forgotten franchises in Ultimate

Porky and Sylux are not gonna sell DLC or fighter passes because they don't have enough mass appeal.

Saying it louder for people in the back now:

And I'm someone who'd be okay with both of them, but it just ain't happening, fam.
